"El Goblino" is xQc's persona when visiting VRChat.

xQc is the French-Canadian professional Overwatch player who aside from his skill in gaming is known for his "pepega" personality, stuttering lapses, gamer rage and acting silly on stream. He is a very popular streamer on Twitch and considered "King of Pepegas" by many.

History[]

The Early Days[]

xQc was first introduced to VRChat in late December 2017 by Pokelawls whom he knew through their previous Overwatch careers.[1] As a devout Winston main, xQc was drawn to a Rafiki avatar and often made monkey noises/gestures. This adventure, albeit short-lived, was action packed as he interacted with Team Five.

Guided by Poke and Rob[]

He re-entered VRChat guided again by Pokelawls on March 30th 2020 and together with HasanAbi they visited "Rob" Roflgators private lobbies, namely his hosted club at the new Necro Nights map.

On Mar 31st he was guided around by Roflgator who helped him find an avatar that he liked, a tour in Kuiwa's Particle Hell. Later he joined a session of Spot The Trap! as a judge, a game-show invented by Roflgator where the participants guess the real sex of the dancers who participate, "are they male or female?".[2]

Revisiting the following days he played Murder and various other games in VR. He caught a liking for Flynn the little yellow blob creature.

Elimination dating game-shows[]

On April 3rd he participated in an Elimination Dating game-show hosted by Roflgator with multiple bachelorettes and one other bachelor being Sodapoppin. He tried to intervene and convince Soda to stop his loli ways but failed.

Participating in another dating game on April 6th he met the lovely Kasumi who made an impression on him (and his Twitch chat) spawning fan art and appreciation. Kasumi, eventually having to leave he moved on to other "girls". These "girls" ultimately ended up actually being guys. The poor xQc got trapped countless times by 18+, Jadez and Java.

Trivia[]

  • When walking in VR he swings his hands back and fourth as if to emphasize the immersion. (or something like that...)
  • Another VRChat player named Poppy made him an xQc themed avatar on April 3rd but it was a bit too short for his taste.
  • "Pepega" is a Twitch BTTV (Better Twitch TV) & FrankerFaceZ emote originating from the Twitch streamer Forsen. It's used to highlight and react to acts of stupidity.[3]
  • On an April 14th livestream xQc has said that he is going to quit VRChat due to his "annoying chat and subreddit" being cluttered of it and claims that VRChat is full of "weebs". xQc later then said he is tired of it. No one knows for sure he is going to 100% leave VRChat for good, he may come back in the foreseeable future.
