IC Background
Born December 14th, 1902, to a family of English nomads seeking their escape from the dawn of the Great War, Tally had a very straightforward childhood. He never had the opportunity to make friends, due to the nature that his parents constantly sailed around the Oceanic provinces. News to the Nomads came late, and it had been 4 years after the war ended when the Nomads finally found out. Celebrations were held, and then came the prep to move back the mainland. As the years past by both in preparations and in the voyage Tally had noticed a severe difference in how he was treated. It seemed to get worse. The Nomads made it to the German/Prussian Empire for a small fishing trade with some locals in a small town. Once Tally was finished unloading the last crate, it was then he realized the Nomad fleet had already left, leaving him in an unknown country with unknown people, with basically nothing to his name at the age of 11. A local fisherman, who had been part of the trade, offered to take him in, so long as he worked his part. And so became the daily torture of working on a terrible fishing boat with questionable orders and really old heavy nets. It was difficult, but at least he had a roof over his head and food to eat. His psyche had suffered with his parents' betrayal, and he became uncaring and ruthless, only thinking about what he needed to do. As soon as he turned 16, he straight up and left without a word to join the Imperial Naval Academy to escape that awful atmosphere.
Tally was a trouble student, butting heads with other higher standing recruits for being a "fishing boy" and was constantly being disciplined due to his actions, but his skills were undeniable. Years of living on the Nomad fleet as a navigator and on that old fishing boat gave him an edge in his naval studies. His superiors respected his constant hard work and ability to get tasks done and stay focused, and overlooked his disciplinary record and deployed him on active service, where he now serves as a ship's hand.
