What is S.H.I.E.L.D? (Sheriff Homeland Investigation Emergency Law Department)[]
S.H.I.E.L.D, is a police / sheriff Role Play community, with the permanent goal to help and entertain the people of VRChat. Their mission, is to patrol worlds and seek out the interesting people, who wish to join in with the fun we create, and maybe even recruit them. Another goal of the S.H.I.E.L.D is never to rank up, but to help more for the community and carry the torch, representing S.H.I.E.L.D for many years to come.
With the strong teams that built this community such as the development, training, social media and event teams, they plan to always keep moving forward and developing ideas, concepts and what we do, so that we're always improving with every step. S.H.I.E.L.D, is not affiliated with any actual law enforcement nor do we have anything to do with Marvel.
They also do not work for VRChat nor are they VRChat moderators. They welcome all users either desktop or VR. (Though they do ask you at least have a microphone if you do not have VR).
The Founders of S.H.I.E.L.D are mostly still present in the community staff and other ranks, but the real mind behind it all was TheGamingExite, who is the current Sheriff of the department. WickedFlyGirl Who also helped build the community, by bringing in staff, creating teams, original handbooks, and of course believing in Shield and Exite.
Their opinion on other communities[]
S.H.I.E.L.D is allowing other communities to integrate their self into the RP of their group, and they're always searching and reaching out to other communities to plan events together and create new experiences for people. They have had the amazing opportunity to work with the DPS, Hoppou Foundation, Mortisian Syndicate and Waifuwehr.

First public present - Opening day[]
On May 7th, 2021, S.H.I.E.L.D appeared publicly for the first time in VRChat. This event was attended by 23 members of the group, each divided into patrol groups of four, their job was to provide entertainment in the form of police / sheriff Role Play to the users of VRChat and to find players with the same interest. Since then, the community still does this often, and patrols the multiverse of VRChat, helping and entertaining people wherever they go.
Avatars[]
Some members of the community commissioned Sarma for some personal patrol avatars the former chief of the LPD, former assistant chief of the UPD, and an extremely well known and talented avatar maker who is known for creating Mikos. Sarma has also offered to help once before by making their badge and rank insignia, he allowed the community to purchase the asset from him to use on all avatars to this day. The rank insigna was designed by WickedFlyGirl and HachiDog. The design was then changed and re-developed by Wicked later when some ranks were changed.
After some months, the community development team, finally released some new avatars to replace the old ones, after they were sadly removed along with the old station made by HachiDog. Since then, Shield currently has a variety of avatars to use for patrolling.
Maps (Station)[]
The first version of the station was created by HachiDog, who then left the community in June 2021. The station was sadly lost due to unfortunate events, as the person who took it over from the creator, deleted it and all of the avatars. Luckily WickedFlyGirl had been learning Blender and Unity, and quickly began working on a station of which the first draft was published the day after the other was removed. Their new station has been made by has become increasingly more modern and unique. The design itself, and how quickly Wicked made it was indeed very impressive, compared to its passed looks. Wicked, worked often with Tiowoit on Udon coding and adding new scripts to enhance the interactions at the station. They worked on and finished a whitelist script, which only allowed their deputies into the back rooms. This is an accomplishment on itself, as they've already caught up with the progress of other communities in regards to some details, which nobody can deny, is impressive in just a few months.
The station that Wicked made, has since retired, and been updated with a new version made by Izuna_Chan, TiowoiT and some help with decor from WickedFlyGirl.
Detectives / D.I.S[]
The Detectives were a group in S.H.I.E.L.D founded in March 2021. Their task was to work together with the staff team as a kind of second moderation team, but the team was disbanded at the end of June 2021 and revamped.
This team had no application option and their members were selected manually, when you were accepted into this team you started as a Detective /★ these were newcomers and were first introduced to their new work, after that came the Detective Inspector /★★, which were assigned to more complicated cases and could act more independently. The last rank of the group was the Chief Inspector //★★, who lead the team and was a member of the staff team.

Sergeant - As the staples of the community, they should be seen as a person to approach and go to if needed.
Corporal - A corporal, should be a good leader of patrols, and have a good understanding of the day to day running of the community.
Deputy - A proven member of the S.H.I.E.L.D community.
Recruit - They have received their basic training and can now head out on patrol.
Cadet - Accepted members in the S.H.I.E.L.D, they still require basic training before they can head out on patrol and become a recruit.
