Lore[]
In the late 2720s and early 2730s, the Resurgence Corporation was nothing but a myth, covered by the IMC and doing the IMC's dirty work while also pursuing their own motives, mainly against the Advocate. The Advocate had been engaging in combat operations against the Corporation. This unsanctioned and outright confusing attempt to destabilize the rapidly growing corpo was intriguing to the leadership of the Mercenary Core. Therefore, the head of the Mercenary Core, River Williams, began to fund the Advocate. Unbeknownst to the Resurgence Corporation, they initiated open combat against the Advocate, not only for themselves but also alongside the IMC. After two months of fighting, the Corporation discovered something they couldn't forget. During Operation Jawbreaker, a civilian approached the deployed troops and provided them with information. Through this intel, the Corpos learned that the IMC had been funding the Advocate. Once this came to light, the Resurgence Corporation completely severed ties with the IMC, leaving all funding and assistance in the past.
The IMC did not take the severing of ties lightly and designated any unit that had worked with the Resurgence Corporation, as well as the Corporation itself, as terrorist organizations. Shortly after doing so, the IMC deployed troops equipped with Resurgence Corporation gear to civilian areas and began killing civilians en masse. The Advocate, on the other hand, initiated disruption operations on the front between the Resurgence Corps and themselves. Creating a massive information blackout, they maintained a hero's façade in the public's eyes while committing atrocities against mankind . The IMC officially declared war on the Resurgence Corporation on February 16th, 2736. From that point on, the two factions have been in constant combat, with the IMC disabling most of the Resurgence Corporation fleet and grounding them on Gridiron. This war of attrition on both sides has been extremely taxing, with estimated total casualties at 170,000, including 90,000 civilian casualties and nearly 40,000 casualties on both the IMC and Resurgence Corps sides.
Gridiron is a planet on the frontier, known for its harsh desert environment and its ability to kill pilots of any rank, role, or background. The IMC specifically chose this location to control the Resurgence Corporation by trapping them on the surface and engaging them in a prolonged war of attrition. While we are only two months into this war, we have noticed the environment affecting the troops on both sides. Long days of 120°F weather in full kit are no easy task . While this planet is strategically important to both factions due to its high abundance of natural resources and oil , it is also a designated Blacksite planet for the IMC, allowing for laws and regulations to be ignored. Making the effort to control the area substantially more challenging.
After the gridiron shutdown, the civilian populace grew increasingly angry at the IMC for the lack of aid and support. Civil unrest escalated when an IMC MP squad raided a small store for cigarettes and other supplies, claiming it was a check for illegal items. A mob formed and attacked the MP barracks. When the mob broke down the front gate, Specters were called in to suppress the riot but opened fire on the crowd, resulting in the deaths of 93 people. The IMC attempted to cover it up as an accident, but a whistleblower revealed that the Specters had been programmed to kill. In response to the massacre, civilians vandalized an IMC water plant by throwing animal manure at it. Many stores in New Anchorage stopped selling to IMC personnel and their sympathizers. In retaliation, the IMC imposed a heavy curfew and conducted raids on businesses linked to rebellious activities. They used Titans to restrict civilian movement and began controlling food distribution. Disloyal citizens would have their food supplies confiscated, while civilians began to be made examples of through hanging or worse. The IMC, in an attempt to cover their tracks, burned and bombed the town, leaving little to no evidence of their presence.
Campaign SandStone is the official designation by the Resurgence Corporation for the current war against the IMC. Officially, this campaign started on February 17th, 2736, and the conflict has been ongoing since. This conflict has been massively detrimental to both the Corps and the IMC, and more importantly, to the civilian populace. With tensions only rising throughout the year and allegations of war crimes on all sides of the conflict, the IMC has continued to use media outlets to undermine the public's knowledge of the conflict and cause widespread panic over the frontier.

How Did we get into Vrchat?[]
VR offers many opportunities for success, from indie game creators making something amazing to AAA studios producing titles we've all heard of. I figured, why not? Let me create something of my own. I personally am not a game developer, so I capitalized on VRChat. The ability to make places or things my own tempted me into pursuing it. So here we are, working away at this little project, hoping to make it big!
