The canonicity of Raber's claims as well as the nature of his Fox are dubious as his cameo was a joke.

A friend and drinking companion of the dwarven pirate Bargus, Raber was invited to taste test some brewed beer during the Ascension Academys brew-fest festival. The students from the squads were competing in who could brew the best beer.

Visiting the academy he somehow got the idea of wanting to become Arch-mage and learn how to move fast like his friend Flamewrath.

Origin[]

Hailing from the badlands in a different world known as Verum, Raber was cast out from his old tribe. They considered him to be too stupid and gluttonous. As his tribe dwindled he is trying to become a "new orc" in a new land.

Forgetting his pet fox back at the boat he went to retrieve it, seeing the cute creature Bargus mentioned how the girls would love it.

Starting to consume drinks he chose a magical brew that has a random taste on each filling, the first one he drank tasted of raspberries the second one he spat out. He Called Lila a "nice fox" and petted her head, leaving her with mixed feelings of feeling both degraded and appreciated. When he spotted the short Lnik he asked Bargus if he should "smash the rat?" but was stopped before doing so.

When questioned about his qualifications he insured that he's very strong and listed various things that he has smashed in the past like "monsters", "gods", "dogs" and "the homeless". Not understanding the meaning of some words he kept mixing them up and using them in new situations. Creating confusion he believed that "dick" means "being grumpy" and "intercourse" meaning "meat".

Finding and grabbing a heavy iron bar he kept lugging it around with the idea that he was going to turn it into a mage staff. Irinarya tried lifting it but it was way too heavy for her. Keeping it safe he hid the iron bar under a table like a dog would his toy. Meeting Headmaster Kareeda Akiyama who seemed to humor the possibility of joining the school or doing something there in some capacity he was interviewed as new students are. "Old man" Lorn Barnes joined him and assisted in the interview. Professor Luna Silver congratulated him for making it so far as to even be here immediately thinking he got accepted, his anticipation was quickly crushed.

Telling of his exploits he retold of how he killed a demi-god, fought turtles and burned churches together with his friends Flamewrath, "Metal guy" and "Femboy Vim". Asked questions in order to gauge his reactions he showed loyalty in wanting to help his friends but a very questionable approach towards the lesser fortunate, expressing how he would "smash the useless homeless". To this Kareeda asked him about his current home to which he answered "homeless" as well, realizing a bit of a contradiction. Prof Silver interjected that it would be very unfortunate if "Raber had to smash Raber".

Given a tour by the headmaster he was faced with a rule board. When he told Kareeda that he cant read, the headmaster would instruct Zackary to read it for him later since he needs to learn it better anyway. Introducing his familiar fox "Fox" he made it very clear that she is not named "Miss Fox" just "FOX". Unable to carry the heavy iron bar Prof Barnes cast a levitation spell on it so that she could carry it around for him.

After the introduction Raber was shown some food and drink getting ready for the brewfest taste testing, digging into the food immediately he was temporarily seated with The Crystal Thorne squad, to test how well he matched. Lila Fang kept giving him disapproving stares and many students expressed their disbelief asking if this was some sort of joke.

Introducing himself to the students he started arguing with Ryder when he didn't understand his name wasn't him "riding". Offering to show him his smash technique he invites Ryder to go outside and proceeds to smash him in the head with the iron bar. Vevina walking asks to make sure that she didn't just witness an attempted murder. Ryder is in pain but will survive thanks to his demon nature. Vevina asks him more questions and wonders who his friends are. Raber tells of "the unwise six", his traveling circus and his desire to return to his own world. Speaking of portals and worlds Kareeda offers to teach him how to open a portal home. Moving to the headmasters office he opens a portal and Raber leaves with Fox and the iron bar.

Notable powers and abilities[]

Burning Blood : Whenever an enemy within 5 feet of you would attack you with a melee weapon and deal more damage than your Constitution modifier, you can bleed fire on that enemy for an amount of fire damage equal to your Constitution modifier. This can only occur once per round.

Trivia[]

Raber is based on Roflgators character from a Dungeons and Dragons campaign The Tearing Veil hosted by Arcadum with MoonMoon, Surefour, Vigors, SodaPoppin and Devin Nash but 30 years after the campaign.^[1]
His familiar fox "Fox" is portrayed by Firefox Blue who in other RP is his personal mute.
He doesn't understand the meaning of the word "intercourse" and believes that it means "meat".
He hears voices in his head whispered to him from an entity called Oloken'hai.
