Project H started off as a friend group in VRChat. They would stare at random people for fun in the Hoppou avatar. later in late 2017 the Project H discord server was created, led by the member "Hoppou". Project H is considered the first recognised Hoppou group.
About[]
Project H was an activity between friends which started off as using the avatar "hoppou" to stare at random people due to the cute yet scary/unsettling nature of the avatar.
In late-2017, the discord server was created and led by the member "hoppou" along with the founding members uoppoh, Yunto, Keiki and Captain_Sea where they would do much of the same until early to mid-2018 when they began to have a shift to Raids or "hunts" and conversion or as they called it "corrupted".
Many people would seek to join Project H, but the group had a requirement that to join, the person would need to upload a custom private hoppou to VRChat.
Project H stopped hosting any official events, but some members still spend time together in a VC within the discord server.
Hunts[]
During a hunt members would silently stare at anyone they found interesting. some of these individuals would be targeted by the group and "corrupted" by them.
Many Hunts were recorded as members from Project H would often raid popular streamers such as Xigneon or Ikrium. A video of such an event is still up on YouTube (Here)
notable events[]
The Hoppou-Knuckles War;[]
On January 6th 2018, Project H members came into confrontation with a group of Uganda Knuckles at a Kugo Hot Springs. The event would eventually escalate into the Hoppous electing to declare War on the Ugandan Knuckles. Members would lead an incursion into one of the popular Ugandan Knuckles worlds and prevent them from being able to take over and use the world with one of the first knuckles to know something is wrong comedically having the username "Sum_tin_wong". The incursion was considered an overwhelming success after a member launched two nuclear strikes on the islands.
Wedding raids;[]
There were a few instances where Project H members would organise and invade wedding events in VRChat, usually they would join and spam the heart emoji at the people being wed as a gesture of good faith and celebration
Member List[]
Some members did plan to create a member list of all the Project H members. [1] This wiki was made by Lamango and is not often updated in modern day.
Trivia and extra[]
- Not to be confused with the Hoppou Army.
- Ikrium HATES the hoppous with a burning passion. This stems from over 30 of them surrounding him in The Great Pug and forcing him to read them doujin. they were also consistently targeted and hunted by Hoppous.
- Project H maintains good relations with most Hoppou groups, and in the past, were confused for other groups such as Hoppou Legion or Cult of Hoppou.
- SpiralGod has made it his life goal in VRChat to head pet all the hoppous.
- Many other groups credit Project H for how their communities were shaped, such as hoppou Foundation whose Founders were heavily inspired by and interacted closely with members of Project H.
- Project H accidentally took over a VRChat world where pictures were displayed on a dome all around the player. So many of the images shown were of a large group of hoppous staring at you.
- Original member Kurona helped with much of the information to help keep this page updated and relevant <3
- Some members called Project H "hoppou Gang" early in its existence.
- The original person who created the Project H page was Lamango. Thank you for your efforts in helping to record history <3
- Some old-time members credit a user called Josie905 as the origin of hoppous saying "Poi" during events
