Omega (or OmegaByAstrixZ) is a themed events community led by VRChat content creator, AstrixZ, designed to inspire creativity and bring VR enthusiasts together in style. Each event revolves around a unique theme, encouraging members to explore creative avatar designs, virtual fashion and styles. It’s a space for VRChat users to connect, express themselves through themes & make new friends with similar interests!

Creators are encouraged to take on the artistic challenge of themed virtual events to design unique avatars for the themed events. Omega has also exhibited at PJKT and collaborated with Virtual Market. Open to anyone over 18, Omega offers a safe, supportive space for both new and seasoned VRChat users to dive deeper into virtual expression and connection.

History Of Omega[]

Established on January 28th, 2023, the Omega Community had its origins as a casual gathering space curated by AstrixZ and her close friends. Initially conceived as a venue for camaraderie, interactive conversations, and collaborative gaming beyond the confines of VRChat, the community underwent a transformative evolution as AstrixZ's reputation ascended.

Recognizing an emergent need within the VRChat social system, AstrixZ restructured the server into a dynamic communal platform. This reimagined space was designed to provide individuals a congenial environment for sharing their VRChat creative endeavors and connecting with fellow enthusiasts whose creative expertise spans a wide spectrum. Moreover, it emerged as a sanctuary where players could cultivate new friendships and remain attuned to ongoing events within VRChat itself.

AstrixZ's motivation to cultivate this community was spurred by her empathetic observation of players encountering analogous challenges she had once faced. Namely, the dearth of authentic VRChat companions and individuals seeking casual companionship. Paramount among her objectives was fostering an environment devoid of tyranny or toxicity, a principle vigilantly upheld through stringent community guidelines and governance.

In the years after 2023, Omega has seen a shift in their events as well as solidifying the identity of the group. The community currently focuses on Thematic Events. These events often inspire creators to create either avatars or ideas before the event begins. Participants are encouraged to dress according to the theme before embarking on themed base activities. Despite thematic events somewhat existing during the early days, as of the Sakura Event, thematic events are the most prevalent event types in Omega, followed by lesser community events ( like movies, hangouts, casual games).

Roles Within The Community[]

Iridescent[]

The designation of the Iridescent Role is conferred upon individuals who are highly recognized within the community. These individuals are familiar friendly faces that show up to most events or interact with the community most. They are well versed in the activities and actively engage in community discussions alongside event planning contributions, often regarded as regulars and people of the highest esteem.

Palladiums[]

The designation of the Palladium Role is conferred upon individuals who meet specific criteria within the Omega Community. This encompasses those who have demonstrated sustained involvement since the community's inception, active participation in numerous events, consistent engagement in discussions, and are regarded as trusted stalwarts of the community.

Omega Affiliates[]

The Affiliate Role is given to individuals who have established collaborative partnerships with Omega through active engagement in community events. Furthermore, this role is extended to those who curate and manage esteemed neighboring communities, thereby offering members valuable opportunities for enrichment and engagement. Often encompassing content creators who have formally proposed and engaged in discussions regarding potential partnerships, the Affiliate Role underscores the ethos of cooperation and collective growth.

Omega Embers[]

The Omega Ember Role is universally assigned to all community members upon their entry. This role serves as an indication that these individuals have successfully undergone verification procedures, affirming their status as non-threatening entities within the community. Furthermore, it underscores their commitment to adhering to the community's established norms and regulations.

Events Hosted Within Omega[]

The roster of hosted events encompasses a diverse array of interactive engagements.

These mostly include activities with specific themes, thematic world hopping and photography sessions, as well as virtual festival visitations & involvement (whereby participants also are encouraged to dress in theme of the festival's colors & aesthetic) offering participants the opportunity to collectively explore virtual landscapes and engage in creative imagery.

Other events like movie nights are curated as moments of relaxation, providing a shared platform for the communal enjoyment of films. The Get-Togethers are thoughtfully structured as casual, hangout-style gatherings, fostering deeper connections and familiarity among community members. Game Events harmoniously unite participants in the enjoyment of popular VRChat games, while Karaoke Events embrace the spirit of amusement and self-expression through singing.
