Nekosan (stylized as Ｎｅｋｏｓａｎ) is a role-player, avatar and world creator, primarily making Hoppou avatars and worlds based on his ideas of the Hoppou. They play the character Neko-San, a humanoid cat Hoppou who roams public worlds in VRChat, interacting with individuals they encounter, often with their sister LolaBeta (stylized asＬｏｌａＢｅｔａ) and other Hoppous who follow.
History in VRChat[]
Nekosan began playing VRChat sometime in 2019 under the username Oyamanekosan; They would explore VRChat like any other user, socialising and exploring worlds. One day, they encountered someone using an avatar based on the character Nanachi from the anime Made in Abyss, which was a show that Nekosan enjoyed. The individual using the Nanachi avatar was role-playing with other individuals as if they were the character Nanachi, a form of Cosplay. After seeing this and becoming friends with them, Nekosan gained a spark of inspiration, realising they could create things in VRChat and engage in role-playing.
In 2020, Nekosan would spend time with a friend in a "room of the rain" world; they would notice a group of people who seemed to be targeting someone. At first, they thought the group was bullying the individual by surrounding and staring at them. However, they would soon become curious and approach the group, who ended up focusing on Nekosan and their friend instead.
The group would take Nekosan to their home world and asked them to join the Discord server, but they decided not to join. A week or so later, Nekosan would run into them again and then spontaneously join the raid by changing into one of their avatars, which they had from their home world and following them around, staring at whoever they were staring at and having fun doing so.
Nekosan would join the group, which called itself the Hoppou Foundation, which at the time had about 20-30 members.
After joining the Hoppou Foundation, Nekosan would ask about creating their own Hoppou, and the group provided them with the files, which they used to create their first avatar. After that, they would turn avatar creation into a hobby of theirs and make more avatars, many being made public for anyone to use, and after about 10 avatars, they decided to create a world to store and share them, which was called "Nekosan Secret Avatar World" and would shortly become a member of the HF leadership/council in 2021, but would soon step down from the position by leaving the Foundation on good terms to peruse their own ideas.
Nekosan began to expand their avatar world, not just because they needed more room for their avatars, but also because they wanted to create a story for the world, make it unique, and not just somewhere to post their avatars, so people could also learn about what they were finding. They changed the world's name to "A Strange Place" to reflect this idea and even began conducting their own Raids/Hunts. Which are primarily solo events, which led to them developing their signature text/speech to speech system and testing many other things with the general public. In 2022, they created the Albino Hoppou Children group, initially to simply have a custom banner, but it later expanded to post updates on their Albino avatars and worlds. However, it is still just their own group and not a community.
Roleplay[]
NekoSan would spend much of their Time wandering around public worlds hunting for interesting individuals to sate their ever-lasting hunger, often with their sister LolaBeta.
Along with their public Roleplay, NekoSan has created their own Story of the Hoppou, some of which are referenced in their "Hidden Study" world as books. One of them, "How to be a Hoppou: The power of silence", has been used as the basis for multiple smaller Hoppou groups' roleplay.
They have also created an ARG within their worlds that others can discover independently.

Their primary character is Nekosan, a curious creature that roams the worlds of VRChat, looking for souls. Represented with their Albino Kittysan.
ＬｏｌａＢｅｔａ[]
LolaBeta would begin its creation between 2020 and 2022 as a few lines of code, and Nekosan would expand upon it, using their own raids to test the software and refine it, ultimately evolving into the modern-day version that accompanies Nekosan on many of their Raids and serves as their primary companion.

Nekosan encountered the LPD (Local Police Department) and created a police kittysan to blend in with them for fun and "pretend" to be one of them, which would eventually lead to the avatars and ideas being used to found the Abyssal Poilice Department.
During their time interacting with Hoppou groups, NekoSan would discover the Kitten Marching Band through the Hoppou Legion. They would interact and attend KMB events and would become one of the few communities for which they host events for on rare occasions.
In 2023, Nekosan decided to delete all of their social media accounts to be able to disconnect from the VR world better, which would lead to them enjoying their roleplay more and enjoying the fact that it made them more mysterious as a character.
