Nebride, or Neb for short, is a slime foxgirl vtuber and VRChat streamer from Norway. Her streams involve dancing (or "wiggling") and vibing to a wide variety of music or playing horror games and VRChat horror maps. For VR, she has 11-point full-body and eye/face tracking. A prominent aspect of her streams is the frequent and sometimes radical avatar changes she does, whether on her own volition or at her chat's request, explained by her lore as an ability she has as a shape-shifting slime creature. Many of her forms though involve outfits with a generally black, shiny, latex/rubber/PVC aesthetic. Her streams usually also have song requests open for anyone to provide a "communal playlist" of songs with days having different vibes, such as EDM, phonk, trap, hip hop, metal or chill.

She places great emphasis on having a supportive, respectful community with good vibes, calling herself "your favorite shiny vibetuber". She started on Twitch years ago, but as of July 2023, she streams on rival platform Kick. Her current content is aimed for adult audiences, as it is centered around themes of specific kinks, most prominently, dronification and femdom.

"I'm a... very very fearful fox... *rawr*" ― saying it in a cutesy way

VRChat[]

Nebride was among the first players to try out VRChat in desktop mode after it was released on Steam in 2017, although at the time she didn't find it very amusing, as people generally didn't talk with her. It garnered her attention again when videos related to the aftermath of the Ugandan Knuckles invasion of 2018 spread on YouTube. However she really got into VRChat after the release of Meta's Quest 2 headset in 2020. Shortly after getting it on release day, she went full-body and enjoyed VR so much that she developed an addiction to it, often staying in VRChat for up to twelve hours a day. Realizing the health implications, she decided to take a break from VR activities. Due to her early interest in VRChat, she has the VRC Early Adopter badge.

Twitch and the 1.0/2.0 era[]

Aside from exploring VRChat, Nebride used to be a very small gameplay streamer on Twitch for a number of years, mostly playing Apex Legends. During a streaming break, she realized the similarities between VRChat streamers and vtubers, who were rising in popularity in the West due to the coronavirus pandemic. With highly customizable, swappable VRChat avatars in mind, and the ability "to be anything" in VR, she decided to start over as a foxgirl vtuber with slime, latex and hypnosis themes around November 2021, using a customized Sophie model. A redesigned variant of this, with more pronounced slime and latex elements, was revealed on January 29th, 2022. After Apex Legends and horror games, she started streaming VRChat around February. Later she got the popular Rindo and the Mulicia models.

She started doing videos on TikTok on September 17th while she took a break from streaming due to burnout.

After months of hiatus on Twitch, on October 5th, she returned with a rebranded image, switching over to a customized, slime, latex and hypno themed avatar based on the Mulicia model, which became her main avatar for streaming and TikTok content for a period. This model's similarity to Rindo and her antics earned her comparisons with Filian, a prominent Rindo user.

She debuted with her commissioned Live2D foxgirl model and the related stream overlay upgrades on November 5th.

She revealed her customized, slime, latex and hypno themed, GodRunner-based VRChat model on December 18th, which became her main 3D avatar. She also received a similarly themed VRoid model created by fellow vtuber AinulVR.

After months of increasing viewership, on March 5th, 2023, she became the first affiliate of the American esports startup B Team Gaming (also known as BTG). As part of their collaboration, she and BTG leader Kennelz regularly host semi-closed community events on each Saturday evening, which are usually VRChat game nights. On special occasions, participants are able to compete for special Nebride merchandise (eg. posters or mugs) made for the events.

On April 12th, she became an affiliate for avatar creator Fxv and later did a showcase for their Katrana V2 charity model on May 13th.

On May 17th, she and her viewers experienced the "Most Scuffed Stream in History", where everything went wrong. The VOD was subsequently archived for posterity. By May 27th, she implemented the dual audio setup for Twitch, to avoid DMCA muting in her VODs. She also set up OxidizeBot to handle the growing amount of music requests.

After a temporary suspension from Twitch, she tried streaming on rival platform Kick on June 24th.

Her following has seen a rapid growth in the first half of 2023, but on June 29th, she was indefinitely suspended from Twitch during a long partner push. (Having 7000+ followers at the time, being in the top 30 of VRChat streamers.) After contemplation, she decided to permanently establish her presence on Kick with her community.

Kick and the 3.0 era[]

Nebride was invited and interviewed by ThatOneRebel in the 297th episode of his talk show Late Night with Rebel on July 7th, in the show's first ever appearance on Kick. (See links.)

She attained verified status on the platform by July 17th. By the end of August, she became the second VRChat streamer on the website by hours watched, only behind Roflgator.

Around July 21st, members from her community started developing MooosicBot, a custom music request bot for her streams, as at the time, there were no such bots available for the platform.

On September 9th, she had her first major Kick collab stream with fellow dancer Lichbait, where the music and visuals were provided by DJ MausVR.

At the BTG event of September 30th, she released a customized drone avatar called Neb's Drone 0000, intended for her community, which was based on Luna.

To celebrate her one-year anniversary since she restarted streaming, as well as her birthday, she started her first ever subathon on October 10th, which was capped at 20 days. On the 4th day of it, October 14th, she revealed eye and face tracking – using a Meta Quest Pro – as one of the surprise goals reached. On the 9th day, October 19th, as the next surprise goal, she introduced her Nebride 3.0 rebranding, a new take on her OC, with a new horned slime foxgirl avatar largely based on a Mili model. (See links.) On the 14th day, on October 24th, she revealed a matching set of new emotes and her first ever official merchandise, a dakimakura (bodypillow), as a Cuddly Octopus partner. On the same day, the subgoal of 2000 was met, unlocking a secretive "spicy stream" on a NSFW platform.

During this subathon, at one point she achieved no. 1 most viewed in the "VRChat streamer" category, and no. 5 most viewed in the "female streamer" category on Kick. As part of the subathon, she also made a multiple-choice yandere dating roleplay stream on the 5th day, October 15th, in which her chat ended up with the second worst ending (being tortured and killed in a medieval torture chamber) from the four possible outcomes (good+, good, bad, bad+), for the fact they wanted to kiss her.

On November 3rd, for the occasion of her spicy stream, the community-made Dronify bot was enabled for her Discord server, making it possible for her followers to assign drone "serial codes" to themselves. On the following day, she conducted her first full ASMR stream, also a subathon goal.

In the early hours of November 23th, she unveiled a Neko Drone form based on NekoMekka Shkurka, which was a nod to her original, scrapped concept for the 3.0 rebranding. A few weeks later, on December 8th, she revealed another drone avatar, the Scout Drone, based on Cyant Model 01.

She introduced a new stream outro on November 27th, featuring Lain from surreal cyberpunk anime Serial Experiments Lain, one of her favorites.

On December 9th, she and Lichbait participated as the main dancers in Drone-Cult, a special community event organized in collaboration with BTG and DJs Cyberbear and MausVR; the event consisted of a first part, playing game worlds, and a second part, raving in Mainframe.

She had her first Kick gaming collab on December 13th, playing It Takes Two with ThatOneRebel.

On December 22nd, she revealed and released a redesigned community drone avatar, but due to the Luna base used, a few days later issues have arisen with the model's maker, Torinyan, and the avatar was recalled. On the 29th, she re-released the avatar, now based on the simpler Potato Luna model.

On December 30th, she revealed a New Year's avatar with a customized Lasyusha model, recalling her early "Booth babe" days with Asian-style avatars. She continued on January 11th with an Imp form based on Manuka.

Shortly after, she took a break from online activities for personal reasons, but she came back to streaming on January 25th, continuing the Booth wave with the Drop Dead outfit for her iconic Rindo model. She also introduced KickBot's AI text-to-speech and image generation features to her streams. During her break, on the 15th, Kennelz of BTG released the first public version of Frenemies, a trading card game developed by him, which is based on Nebride's community.

On March 1st, Canadian artist Bobo.The.Outlaw and US artist Kimigo Yosu released a hip-hop song titled Another Life!, featuring her in a producer tag. Bobo later released more songs with her in the tag.

On March 3rd, she had her first stream with 11-point tracking after adding 4 more trackers (knees and elbows) to her VR setup.

After months of working towards it, on March 10th, she announced that she got accepted into Kick's Creator Incentive Program (KCIP), a continuation of the platform's partner program, making her one of the very first, if not the first VRChat streamers and vtubers to get accepted. Previously, she was promoted to Kick's front page twice, both times as a vtuber.

On April 15th, she again tried using her 3D VRChat model for desktop gaming streams. On the same day, she was unbanned from Twitch. A few days later, on the 18th, she was removed from KCIP due to an away-from-keyboard violation between her VR and desktop gaming segments. Now unbanned on the platform, she decided to have her first new stream on Twitch on the 21st, intending to gather audience for her Kick channel.

She got reaccepted into KCIP on June 10th. Almost a week later, on the 16th, Kick staff promoted her to the front page in a prominent spot as a vtuber, garnering her around 5300 viewers for a short time.

Unsure about how to celebrate her 1-year anniversary on Kick, while she planned to do cake baking, she ended up doing a brownie baking stream on the 24th, the stream also being her first "hand reveal" as a vtuber.

On the 29th, she experimented with using an AI speech-to-text-to-speech system for streams.

On July 13th, she and Lichbait hosted another Drone-Cult community event, which again consisted of playing game worlds and raving, with the DJs being BlahC and FilthyG.

▽△▽△▽ Lore ▽△▽△▽[]

"'Cause I love liquorice, that's why, can you tell?~ Love it black and salty... *gigglesnorts* Don't take that out of context, pleeease..." ― talking about why is her tongue black and realizing her fatal mistake

OC canon[]

Much of the developed lore around the original character of Nebride has not been disclosed yet to the public, but exists only in her head. She used to be a normal human who was kidnapped in public one day and put into a "drone chamber", where "drones" tortured and experimented on her. They tried to hypnotize her and injected her with a poisonous substance which ended up turning her into a slime creature. She refers to this event, and by extension, to herself, as a "failed experiment" when talking about her past. Sometime along the way, she gained a pet or companion in the form of a dark slimy kitten, but she herself can also take the form of a red cat-like creature with black eyes and a black tongue.

As a slime being, she can easily change forms at will to play tricks on or entertain people, her preferred form being that of a fluffy fennec foxgirl. Her wiggly tail gets particular attention from onlookers, and she uses this to her advantage, although at other times she just hides it to attract eyes to her figure in other ways. Her slime body can form any kind of outfit or appendage she wants, but she needs to replenish moisture regularly, because if her slime dries out, she will die. Her slime tastes like strawberry liquorice.

As a vtuber, her de facto oshi mark (fan mark) is heart and chains ❤️⛓️ and her fanbase is often simply called her "drones" or "army of drones".

Nebride 1.0 and 2.0[]

In her 2.0 canon form, Nebride's hair is red and white ombre colored, her eyes being heterochromatic, the right being red and the left gray. Her upper lip is black, her lower lip has circular snake bite piercings, and she has a black tongue with a white heart marking on it. She also has large black eyelash-shaped marks under her eyes, as well as red scars on her upper arms, thighs and torso. She is often clad in shiny black latex clothing, optionally with black-and-white hypno glasses and roller skates for shoes. Personality-wise, she is silly and playful, always enjoying having a chat with everyone, occasionally teasing them.

Nebride 3.0[]

In her 3.0 canon form, despite staying a foxgirl, Nebride has horns, and instead of scars, her body has a mixture of tattoos with tribal/ancient and cyber/modern aesthetics, including hearts in a "black metal" style on her chest and her lower back, as well as tattoos of her own chibi figure on her legs. Her hair is black and red ombre with white highlights, her eyes are still red and gray heterochromatic, but with black sclera. She still has the striking eye makeup, black upper lip, snake bite piercings, and the black tongue with a white heart. Her outfit choices are more daring and commandeering, often going for clothing like latex leotards and high heel thigh boots, but sometimes she just has literal black slime covering her private parts. With the introduction of this demon-like form, she is more serious and devilish, teasing and toying with people more. Her 3.0 debut solidified the change in her content towards a more intimate style focused more on dronification and other related kinks.

Aside from the above main form, she also has other alternate forms she can shift into at will; her Slime Goddess form with dark, slimy skin, her Drone Master form with pointy, mechanical drone legs, her Sleep Paralysis Demon or Shadow form, and her Nymph form.

Community lore[]

Nebride's canon is enhanced by the lore added via community interactions; such as her tongue having the taste of salty licorice (salmiak), one of her favorite type of candies – making it hard to handle kissing her – or being as stinky as any fox would be, leaving behind slime everywhere and being a menace for anyone's fridge who dares to invite her, as she is constantly hungry and will raid it. As technical difficulties, or "scuff", is present with her VR and computer setup, the motion tracking glitches (the so-called pretzeling or body horror) caused by this has also been incorporated into the lore: as a shape-shifter slime creature, she has an inherent ability to do body contortion. Her affinity for latex and her positivity earned her the "shiny" label, while her antics and vocalizations on stream got her the title of "gremlin".

According to the extended lore, in line with dronification tropes, she hypnotizes viewers into signing a several page long drone contract to be her loyal, obedient and kind drones, each getting a different "serial code". This process might fail however (some of her staff members) and there might be rebelling and malfunctioning drones. These drones live with her in her drone chambers as her beloved servants, and the most loyal ones get special treatment.

Sometime in the future, there will be a tentative battle fought between her and her army of drones versus B Team Gaming leader Kennelz, the "Rindo King", and his army of Rindos, as to settle who is more powerful among them.

▽△▽△▽ Avatar forms ▽△▽△▽[]

"Holle molle..." ― when surprised

From early on, Nebride established the idea of "VR streams" which she does as a VRChat streamer using her VR equipment, and the "desktop/laptop streams" which marks the more standard gameplay/chatting vtuber streams outside of the constraints of VR gear.

In the VR streams, she streams from VRChat, either wiggling/vibing to various music or exploring worlds, using a multitude of customized or stock avatars. In the desktop/laptop streams (often being a stand-in if the VR setup malfunctions, she's sick or she's away from home), she generally plays various horror games, the on-screen avatars being animated by either webcamera, phone or VR tracking.

Her more often used 3D models for VRChat streams are customized by herself to have her OC appearance, at least for the eyes and makeup.

Random tidbits pertaining to Nebride from her streams:

  • One of the running jokes in her community is the many nicknames and monikers she amassed over time. She said she doesn't even listen to "Nebride" anymore and it feels weird to her. Most people just call her Neb or Nebby/Nebbie/Nebi, others use something derived from Nebride, often with a touch of cutesy wordplay. These nicknames include gems such as Nub (by Ainul), Nebling (by Ainul), Nebbers (by Errorgamer and CyberGlitched), Nebington (by SilvrDevil), Nebbels (by Carboncats), Nebbi (by Opportunist), Neb-chwan (by Bobo.The.Outlaw), Ben (or as a full name, Ben Hungry), Nebula, Nebri, Neberino and Nebberoni. Her VRChat wiggle streams offer an opportunity for viewers to call her Master/Mistress as part of drone play. On a more comedic note, she renamed herself to Sugarrat for a one-week Discord meme, and sometimes technical glitches give her new names – on Twitch, TTS Brian interpreted her nickname, Neb, as Nebraska (the US state), saying it as such, thus establishing a new nickname, much to her annoyance. On Kick, her speech-to-text system gave rise to Miss Tristan (from her saying a sentence with "mistress" in it), and one of KickBot's AI TTS voices invented Neeb while trying to pronounce her nickname. Since "neb" is such a short word, viewers on mobile often end up typing her name as Ned, Nep, Nev, or other nonsense thanks to misguided autocorrections or fatfingering. Some of her monikers include "the slime goddess", "your favorite shiny vibetuber", "your sleep paralysis latex demon", and "stinky".
  • She grew up in an environment which valued food greatly, and she enjoys almost any kind of food. She needs to eat small quantities of something all throughout the day. Salty licorice (salmiak) is one of her favorite type of candies, while figs are one of her favorite fruits. She particularly likes Raspberry-Licorice Skulls (Bringebær-Lakris Skalle) by Bubs. Unusually, she loves very spicy and very sour things as well, even if it causes her pain. She also loves a good beer.
  • She enjoys the idea of hypnosis/mindbreak and often uses hypno and programming elements in her streams. She cites fellow VRChat streamer Lichbait as a source of inspiration for conducting livestreams.
  • She used to play and still plays games/franchises like Cry of Fear (which she referred to as "Sweden Simulator"), Afraid of Monsters, Silent Hill, Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Amnesia, Phasmophobia, Dead Space, Haunting Ground, Fatal Frame, Outlast, DreadOut and Somewhere in the Shadow, but she is keen to play almost any indie horror/scary game. She also used to play ranked Apex Legends, where she reached the highest rank in game, Apex Predator; she used to main Wattson. While she isn't an active player anymore, she is still quite good at it. She even played Raid: Shadow Legends on stream while being sponsored (Download Raid: Shadow Legends using my link and enjoy the special in-game loots! Raid is free on PC and Mobile. Use my Promo Code: 3YEARSRAID for more perks), and the worst console game of all time, Michigan: Report from Hell, or as she called it, "Box Simulator".
  • Red, black and white are her favorite colors, reflected on her avatar and overlay designs.
  • Sometimes she lurks in Roflgator's streams, who she is friends with.
  • She can't really pick a favorite musical genre, artist or song, but she enjoys trip hop. She's very fond of Deftones and Massive Attack.
  • She adores cats in any amount, but has a sweet spot for foxes as well, especially fennecs. She attributes her love of foxes to the Disney animated film The Fox and the Hound, which she has the book version of as well.
  • While she claims she wasn't ever a "weeb", some of her favorite anime are One Piece and Serial Experiments Lain.
  • She used to have a higher voice, but a particularly serious cold around 2020 left her with her current deep tone.
  • She's a Whovian (a fan of Doctor Who), with the Tenth Doctor (David Tennant) being her favorite. For sitcoms, one of her favorite is the British series Black Books. She's also a huge fan of Lord of the Rings, to the point she used to have yearly rewatch marathons in cinemas with friends before COVID-19 hit.
  • She's afraid of heights and blood, even in video games. Her eyes are also sensitive to bright light, which is part of the reasoning behind why her on-screen hypnosis spirals are black-red instead of black-white.
  • She went to a film school, but was disappointed having to read dry books instead of "just making movies".
  • Her early popularity was due to TikTok shorts and VR selfie photography.
  • Her current PC configuration is based on an MSI MPG X570S Carbon Max WiFi motherboard, an AMD Ryzen 9 3900X processor, an RTX 4070 Ti graphics card and 64 Gb of DDR4 memory. Her VR setup includes a Meta Quest Pro headset, two Valve Index controllers, eight HTC Vive (2.0/3.0) trackers, two Lighthouse (2.0) base stations for 11-point tracking, and an Antlion ModMic Wireless. This makes her technically a "Questie", despite having full-body and eye/face tracking. Her first headset, a Quest 2 succumbed to almost 3 years of heavy (ab)use. She also has a "backup" Quest 2, useful for traveling. She's also a Noctua fangirl.
  • Her Twitch/Kick followers include(d) VRChat personalities/streamers/dancers such as Roflgator, Mika Moonlight, MurderCrumpet, ThatOneRebel, SokkzVR, Nephtanica, Ronn, GothicBunni, Ratchet232, oGURLz, SaintSakura, TheMoonVR, FoxyFurSure, Lichbait, Shibbi, ChottoDragon, Aprexi, Slimaera, CallMeGoob, horror world creator Cripsy, fox vtuber GammaInkk, IRL latex streamer Ellie Doll and fetish artist Carboncats.
