The Yokai race is primarily female but there are rare assurances like Liezi's son Isabel Vextor Voltais or Volt played by Nad jr. This race in particular has the same premise of the more tails the more power they have. this variant of yokai has to choose between two sides before they get there 9th tail, either a holy guardian of a shrine, or a ravenous demon once there side has been chosen with the coming of there 9th tail then there powers will enhance to that particular side be either holy and pure, or demonic and ravenous. with that being said there parents also lay the groundwork for the powers and abilities for what they can use until that point for example Liezi is a guardian of a shrine and has chosen the holy side allowing her to summon and wield a single holy weapon that her soul will be bound to if she so chooses to wield one, with that Volt has a holy Spear of Leonidas (from galan rp) the spear was imbued with an angelic beings soul and given to volt as a family weapon that was used by his father asterith, in this sense volt has been able to wield the weapons ince but not without burning of his hands.
Back to the point of the yokais the Yokai race can only live to 1,000 human years before there cycle of life ends. With that being said there powers peak in become extremely powerful around the last 100 years of there cycle with that said this race of yokai also have there powers tie in strongly with their emotions with this there powers also can destroy them if pushed to far.
