Kei Noriaki (AA)

Intelligence Officer Kei Noriaki is Intelligence Officer in the Cross-Allied Forces Intelligence Collection Department (ICD) who took charge of the operations in Camp Duat in Abagua in the Return to Duat mission in the Second Year. He later arrived on an Ironclad with Lieutenant Scott and Jr. Lieutenant Arkell to occupy the Academy in the Year 2 Finale. He has since returned to Ascension, reassigned from the ICD as a temporary member of academy staff.

Year 2[]

Kei arrived in Camp Duat roughly an hour after the Cadets arrived on site, riding a camel and being escorted by an Inquisition Officer. Upon his arrival he acquainted himself with Rook and Esmae before moving inside to speak with Lieutenant Scott. After this he met with Professor Carver and they spoke on the political situation in Astaria, particularly the formation of a new nation called 'Aeon' formed from the various waring groups of knights in the lands between Iskana and Drimhowel, and how this new nation would effect the political landscape of the region- potentially throwing Astaria into another war.

Following this he spoke with both Professor Carver and Professor Albrecht about the Academy specifically and it's defenses. He asked about the Barrier and made note of the location of the Eiosian ships that Carver was in charge of, especially one that was patrolling the waters near the inlet to Ascension Academy.

Throughout the day Kei checked in with various Cadets at their stations. He was impressed by Joseph's diligence among many others and invited Joseph, Lnik, Speca, Stark, and Aida- all separately over the day, to a dinner he says he will be hosting when they all get back to the Academy.

Later in the night following the conclusion of the Mummy Lord Crypt Mission, he attended the debriefing and was confused and annoyed at the disorganization of the affair, with conflicting information being brought up both between the Cadets and their captive. He was later informed by Lnik that Stark, Shizu, and Jixie had "Conspired to withhold information during the debrief." He confronted Stark about this later in the night, to which Stark insisted his squad would do no such thing.

On the final day of the Return to Duat mission, Kei remained at camp for the majority of the day. He spoke with the Inquisition who were aware that the CAF had recovered two Artifacts but lacked a concrete description of their appearance and powers. Because the artifacts were found on Abagua land the CAF was legally obligated to hand them over, but Kei showed reservations about this. Near the end of the night he approved a plan to dupe the Inquisition forwarded by Shizu, where she would transfer the memories from the Harpy's Wisdom to her mask so they could surrender the now-inert artifact to the Inquisition along with the Frost Staff, while the CAF kept the mask with the memories inside and the Genie's Lamp. The Lamp was unfortunately stolen by a Cadet turned traitor, Speca, when she defected to the Forty Thieves. She was promptly marked as an enemy wanted "Dead or Alive", but preferably Alive, by the Headmaster himself.

Year 3[]

After the arrest of the Headmaster Akiyama Kei transfered to the school to ensure the effective change of administration, due to the change in job his title was changed and now he serves as a professor for the academy. Currently Noriaki is the person in charge of the prefect program that recruits outstanding students that help keep order between students.

Trivia[]

Kei shares a name and face with another of Stealth's RP Characters, Kei from Neon Divide.
Kei apparently has had access to the Academy's previous reports, stating "If I was younger I would be a bit of a fan boy." to Albrecht when discussing his feats. How detailed these reports are is yet to be seen.
Despite appearing apathetic to the Cadet's qualms over what to do with the Harpy's Wisdom, Kei showed in the final two nights of the mission that he does understand the moral implications the Artifact presents and is even sympathetic, but he refused to act against the treaties openly. When the opportunity arose to fulfill their treaty- only just to the letter- without surrendering the power of the Wisdom he acted on the Cadets' plan.
Kei has attempted to foster good relations with the Inquisition, going so far as to secure two meetings between the acting Lord Regent, High Inquisitor Marius, and Cadet Joseph when the Cadet showed interest in their order and faith. He also mandated that the Inquisitor recovered from the Cockatrice Den be revived first to be returned to the Inquisition as it would be a major boon for their relations.
