Who is Isachsen?[]
Isachsen is a member who joined through the VRChat Discord server after being a part of the LPD as one of the first groups in the game. However, due to his greater interest in military roleplay, he decided to join the BAF in early 2022. He began his career in the Yorkshire Regiment and later transferred to HMS Iron Duke for the first time. With the establishment of the Air Force, he joined Space Command for a period before returning to the navy and serving on HMS Freya. He is one of the fortunate few officers who have had the opportunity to serve on all three navy ships, including as the destroyer captain of HMS Jörmungandr (formerly known as HMS Dragon) and is currently the flag officer of the HMS Aegis, the destroyer attached the submarine Athena, Presently, his responsibilities involves organizing high-level roleplay events and hosting trainings for the Navy's new aviation called The Fleet Air Arm as its 1st in command working closley with his friends in the Lightning Riders in the RAF
Within the corps he has been a part of, Isachsen has contributed to the Media, Drill Corps, and Royal Guards. Presently, he holds the role of coordinator and is a dedicated member of the lore corps. In this capacity, he's involved in planning high-level roleplay events. Additionally, he's taking on the role of an architecture trainee, aiming to develop immersive worlds for the group's endeavors.
Isachsen has a wealth of experience with roleplay groups dating back to 2014. His journey spans various engagements, including Mount and Blade Warband where he participated in the 19th Yorkshire Regiment of Foot, 16th Yorkshire Regiment of Foot, 77th Regiment of Foot, Kings Royal Army, and The Irish Volunteer Brigade. He also contributed to the 88th New York Company from War of Rights, and the 1st Cavalry Division from Heroes & Generals, among others. This extensive history highlights Isachsen's enduring passion for military roleplay.
His personal motto are "Ministrat arma furor" wich stands for "Fury supplies arms", same motto that belonged to air craft carrier HMS Furious 47
Personality:
Isachsen presents himself as an amiable individual; however, he often assumes a reserved demeanor in the presence of large crowds. When engaging in conversation, one will discover his profound enthusiasm for military history—a subject he frequently delves into, sparking lively discussions. Due to his limited proficiency in English, he tends to remain silent unless approached. Therefore should you stumble upon him it's important to consider his preference for initiating interaction.
Characther History:
Isachsen hails from an alternate dimension that mirrors our own Earth in many ways. He spent his formative years in the Kingdom of Andour and, uniquely, found his way into the military during the 1800s. His journey began in an unconventional manner when he was mistaken for a recruit in a town. This misunderstanding led to him being placed in line with other recruits, handed a musket by a conscript officer, and subsequently marching alongside them. Despite this unexpected start, Isachsen decided to embrace the military path, ultimately evolving into a seasoned soldier. He participated in numerous campaigns, steadily rising through the ranks to become a sergeant. Later, he took on the role of a flag bearer within his regiment. After five years, he transitioned to the cavalry, where he performed admirably.
In the later stages of his cavalry career, he achieved the esteemed rank of Color Sergeant within the cavalry. However, a request from a General led to his transfer back to his former regiment, a decision that was officially sanctioned. Subsequently, he was assigned to the newly formed Grenadier Company, a unit specifically established for the regiment's tallest soldiers.
Despite this significant change in his military assignment, his father, Duke Alfred Ernes Isachsen, held different ambitions for his son. He secured a commission for his son in the 42nd Stuvian Infantry Regiment, a recently formed unit consisting of a mix of seasoned veterans and new recruits. Furthermore, he purchased the rank of 2nd Lieutenant, enabling his son to commence his officer's career.
During a parade, a humorous incident occurred when it was reported that the King remarked about Isachsen, saying, "Dear heaven, I mistook that lad for a telegraph pole." due to Isachsen heigth, Isachsen continued to pursue his military journey with determination and a sense of humor after this
Isachsen's life took a remarkable turn when he was enlisted in the 2nd Army Corps by General Reginhard Kunkel, who not only mentored him but, at the request of Isachsen's father, formally adopted him into his family
In an effort to ensure his safety, General Kunkel forcefully transferred Isachsen to the Andorian Navy, where he was given command of a 3rd Rate ship armed with 21 heavy guns. The 42nd Regiment was converted into a marine company aboard his ship. Isachsen spent a total of 8 years at sea.
Upon learning of a rebellion forming on the mainland and complications in his own home region, Isachsen set sail with full determination, hoping he would not arrive too late to make a difference. At that time, he was 25 years old, but it's important to note that time operates differently in this dimension compared to our own. They initially quelled the rebellion in his home region, and Isachsen humorously wrote to his father, "The General sent for me, but when we arrived, the battle was as good as won. They encountered the tallest men of Andour!" However, later in the evening, they were once again attacked, facing a renewed threat
His life took an extraordinary turn when his hometown faced an enemy siege. During this tumultuous event, Isachsen's regiment confronted the foe. However, a phenomenon beyond explanation, akin to a rift opening, transported him to a different dimension - our version of Earth in 2018. Confusion engulfed him, and he wandered alone until he decided to explore a nearby town. Discovering he was now in England, he chose to try his hand in the military once again. This time, he enlisted in the British Navy. He commenced his service aboard the aircraft carrier HMS Freya R08, later excelling as a pilot and assuming leadership of the 808th Valkyrjies squadron. Advancing through the ranks, he became an Officer Cadet, eventually steering the HMS Dragon as a destroyer captain. Passing on leadership of the 808th, he transferred to the marines, where his affinity for helicopters blossomed. He spearheaded the formation of the Fleet Air Arm before moving to HMS Athena, a submarine, and assuming command as the destroyer captain of HMS Aegis. At present, he holds the rank of Captain, wholeheartedly dedicating himself to the Royal Navy. Though he yearns for his original home, duty and cherished relationships in this world have tempered that longing. He grapples with whether his homeland remains unchanged or has transformed in his absence - a question only time can answer.
When Isachsen is not serving in the military, he has followed in his mother's footsteps by engaging in trade and operating a restaurant where he and his fellow workers serve cuisine from his homeland, which has become a popular choice in his town. Additionally, he has discovered a passion for military Napoleonic Wars reenactments, in which he actively participates to this day. Furthermore, he continually explores and learns about what this dimension has to offer. He also has a young son named Marvin Argonaught Isachsen, who recently followed his father's footsteps by becoming a helicopter pilot through Exalted Dragon in the Royal Air Force
Those who know Isachsen perceive him as a unique blend of past and future, a spirit who straddles eras. While he acknowledges the discrepancy between his historical origins and contemporary strategies, he is earnestly adapting to his new reality.
