Who is Heidi?[]
Heidi formerly served the Waifuwehr of the Federal Republic of Germany as an Enlisted Member of the Wachbattailon.
Heidi's Backstory[]

Heidi was born in Nürnberg, Germany. They were born into a high middle class family, their mother was a Pediatrician and their father was a Veterinarian. Heidi has an older sister named Alison, of whom is 4 years older than them. At the time of Heidi’s birth, their mother, Melanie, and their father, Roland, were of ages 32 and 35.
When they were around 4, they would fight constantly, but in the end Heidi’s mother always made Alison apologize. At the end of the day, it was obvious Heidi was the favorite, even to 7 year old Alison. Alison would often stomp off to her room and ignore her parents. Despite being the favorite, Heidi was not spoiled. Heidi’s parents never let them get too much, or get too little than what they deserved. Heidi was taught proper manners, how to tell when someone is upset, and what to do when said person was upset. But in the end, they still struggled with the “what to do” part. Heidi's Grandfather often talked about how his father, Adam, had a sister in the military. Her name was Anjie. Anjie ended up freezing to death on the field. Her brother, distraught and unable to do anything else, ended up changing his last name to Rae for Anjie's memory, which was the one she preferred to go by. Hence the last name, Rae.
When Heidi was 7, they started to show their love for Botany and animals. They’d open the door and go to the backyard to look at the birds and squirrels, and look at the pretty flowers their father was growing. They’d dig around the soil and look at the roots, but also look at the funny looking bugs they’d find and show them to their parents. Alison would make fun of them for being so interested in botany and animals, and eventually make fun of the ears and tail Heidi had. Alison didn’t have them, and in the end was just jealous of them. At age 10, Heidi started getting more and more insecure about their feline body parts. At one point they found their father’s electric razor, and they shaved off the fur on her tail. They’d wrap their tail around their waist and wear baggy or flowy clothes, so it’d be hard to see it. They’d wear hats to cover the rest of their abnormalities. When their mother found out the reason why, she was upset. She’d ask Heidi why they’d hide them, tell them they were beautiful, and that they didn’t need to be hidden. Heidi nodded along, but kept doing it, insecure about their body nonetheless.
At age 14, Heidi started to get insecure about more than just their abnormalities, but also the way they were born. Heidi disliked being a woman, they didn’t dislike other women, no, just didn’t like being one. Over time the insecurity grew, but it wasn’t all the time. There would be days where the insecurity no longer bothered Heidi, but there were also days where the insecurity was stronger than usual. Heidi struggled with this for a year, in denial for their gender for about half of that year. Once they were 15, they figured it out for sure, they wanted to go by they/them pronouns. They took a few months before coming out to their parents, but they openly accepted them and still loved them. Alison overheard the conversation and outed Heidi, bullying them more for just wanting to be more comfortable in their own body.
At 16, Heidi’s academics were so-so. They favored subjects like Biology over Math and English. While they were excelling in Biology, they were near failing in Math and English. Their parents urged them to follow their dreams, but also not fall behind in school. Heidi agreed, barely passing the majority of their classes but managing to anyway. They graduated, and Heidi took some time to decide what they really wanted to do with their life. While thinking they’d like to pick up trash from the roads and throw them away, making some difference, no matter how small, always brought a smile on their face.
They decided they’d study Environmental Science. At age 20, their insecurities still were around, but having hidden them for so long, they didn’t pay much attention to them anymore. They graduated college with a bachelor’s in Environmental Science, and in debt. For a while they looked for a job in Environmental Science but ended up working a minimum wage job since they couldn’t find one for their degree. After about a year of working minimum wage, they decided they’d join the military. They didn’t know much about it, but hopefully it’d help them.
