Contained below is a condensed overview of each of the three seasons in the Fractured Thrones VR Roleplay Project, including the Season Two Midbreak between Season 2 and Season 3.

The information below is being edited for ease of reading and to tighten up presentation, however below may contain spoilers for the story and progression of the Fractured Thrones roleplay project.

Season One[]

On November 10th, 2020, the first episode of Fractured Thrones (S1E1) was streamed and performed live on Twitch.tv. The following season spanned 35 mainline episodes, with an additional 10 sessions that took place as missions outside of the main setting. Thus began the story of the struggle of a group of peasants in Arilaand, a declining kingdom in the world of Auzera. Its focus location was Castle Leydford, a small, decrepit castle town close to Arilaand's border with the Theozzian Empire.

With a heavy hitting setting that saw each and every character at constant risk and danger, each episode conveyed the weight and dread of living in a shadow of war and uncertainty. Life the next day was not a given, being often said that Fractured Thrones was "the story of how your favorite character dies", and actually delivering upon this phrase more than a few times.

"Now the dice will decide your fate", became the gripping mantra of the story - with skillful death, and near-death narrations by Mr. Brunswick and Maplesage, who were only two of many passionate and talented cast members of the inaugural season.

Season 1 ended with the broadcast of Season 1, Episode 35 - "The End of An Era.", which saw a definitive conclusion to the tale of Leydford, though it was just the start of everything else to come.

Season Two[]

Coming off the excitement and triumph of the end of Season One, the first episode of Season Two broadcast on June 3rd, 2021, beginning a highly anticipated new chapter of the Fractured Thrones project.

Season Two takes place six months after the finale of Season One and finds the cast adjusting to life in Adwick, Arilaand's capital. Thanks to the efforts of modelers, map makers, and and expanded support staff, S2 allowed the cast to venture to and explore many new locations in-world. Smaller towns like Holbeck and Lullin, large cities under siege like Oakenbrook and Ambershire, and far off lands such as Haeloth were brought to life, to name only a few of the many places showcased in Season Two.

This season was Fractured Thrones storybuilding in full stride, with a massive 80 main episodes along with 36 additional sessions in the form of Missions, Special Sessions, and the debut of Battle Workshops. Season Two saw the returning cast shine with bigger maps, more characters and an expanded understanding of the lore of Auzera, along with incoming member arrivals who would begin the path to leaving their mark on the project.

The ocean dwelling Triton people and the Duergar race, also made first appearances with multiple player characters.

New factions and threats were introduced this season, including but not limited to:

  • Brass Skulls
  • Black Serpents
  • Imperial Legionaries
  • Ancient Tritons
  • The Ratmen

Season 2, Episode 80 - "The Road To Gradia" was broadcast on April 21st, 2022. While it was the marker of the end of the main body of S2, it was not the end of the story until Season 3.

Season Two Midbreak[]

The time between Season 2 and Season 3 was not to be left wholly silent. Beginning very shortly after S2E80, the April 2022 Battle Workshop marked the beginning of the Season Two Midbreak. Within 20 sessions over the remainder of 2022, the Season Two Midbreak accomplished several objectives with character-focused side missions, multiple Battle Workshops, expansion of the Linwood sessions, along with S2E81, S2E82, and S2E83 - a three episode arc marking the Finale of the main Season 2 storyline.

The very last stream of the Season Two Midbreak was a special 'prequel' mock session focused on the events of a day in Adwick, months before the arrival of the main cast and characters. Intended to be a session for FT's newest cast members to get acclimated to a regular episode, while giving familiar faces one more day in the world, "Adwick Before" was broadcast on January 10th, 2023 - the only S2 related session to stream that year.

Season Three[]

The Third and current season of Fractured Thrones broadcast it's first episode on January 31st of 2023. Season 3 takes place 2 years after the second season's events, leaving Arilaand for Nautis, a small and crumbling castle town on the Gradian coast.

Events are ongoing at this time, over 100 episodes into the story - and even now, high stakes are between several factions vying for survival and control. Ultimately, it will all hinge on the choices of a small group of peasants - and in the end, the dice will decide their fate.
