Origin[]

Prototype unit FRED. Created by a small company under GEB as an experimental unit to produce sustainable food by recycling edible material. They were designing the unit to create a new brand of energy bars for commercial sale. However, the company did not want to test the product on their own people as the energy bars could have hazardous side effects to the people who ate them. They instead decided to conduct an experiment.

The company discovered that GEB was cutting off the food supply to The Row. They knew that this would lead to widespread famine and that they could obtain data to work with if they sent their FRED unit to the Row, as the inhabitants would have little choice but to buy their experimental product. With this in mind, the company sent over FRED to promote their new Plood Bars.

History[]

Major Events that happened to FRED

Session 1:

Started working at the 27/8 convenience store
Established a deal with the Medbay to sell bulk Plood bars.
Started establishing relations with the people in the Row.
Met Oblivion's character, BR-16 for the first time but is told to not worry about it.

Session 2:

Made the bulk Plood bar sale
Mostly uninteresting day, Just social conversation with the people in the Row.

Session 3:

Was approached by GEB corporates and given 5000 credits to get a new voice.
GEB Corporates informed FRED of a possible future GEB charity event.
Kept up relationship establishment with the people in the Row.

Session 4:

Attained the new voice to replace the old monotone one. It seems to have come with a personality adjustment too.
Established connection with Celeste to help them and/or their friends (like Duncyn) via intel gathering
Somehow became the godfather for Desmond's future pet scorpion.

Session 5:

Learned that Jonny was caught in an explosion
Was offline for the rest of the session as Nexus' irl Wi-Fi decided to shut down.

Session 6:

Sold a bulk box of Plood bars to the Medbay.
Tested his food processing with Digit's burger and Conk's spicy noodles. Test was successful. Tests with the alcohol in the Dirty Diamond proved a failure.
Met "Teacher," who was believed to be a necromancer by Vessa. Currently he believes that it was mistaken identity but holds some skepticism
- Also from this, he learned that Kythus and the "Teacher" might have some shaky history.
Had a minor crisis with his loyalties between the Row and GEB, knowing full well that the Row does not approve of the corps.
Received information from his superiors at GEB that he may be sent to the undercity to do business there.
Pieced together information to figure out GEB was the corporation that took Gloop to the uppercity. The reason why is unknown to FRED
- This also factored into FRED's crisis in where to gauge his loyalties.
This crisis was slightly alleviated when talking with Jonny (the taxi) about the value of an individual.

Session 7:

Learned of events going on, namely Becky going to the arena and Polka getting shot out of a cannon.
Heard something happened to Gloop, concerned GEB did something to Gloop.
Went to the undercity with Jonny and got a tour from Bub.
Found a knife on the undercity boat to sell, sold it to Vessa.
Learned of Gloop's death. Tried to comfort Wrench who was hit hard about it.
GEB corps came by to his shop to learn of local news.

Session 8:

Learned that Jonny had exploded again due to a bomb mishap involving Mercury.
Learned of V in the synth lounge and Guidebot being deactivated.
Helped supplied the party for Wrench and sold bulk food to the med bay.
Learned some details about Jonny's situation, IE the bomb was him accidently blowing up Dagu's bomb in the garage, destroying it.
Saw the events at Duncyn's shop and saw the Trident corp bring a package to the shop.
Medbay box mishap. I swear there was a box. friggen boxes.
Had to tell Duncyn Jonny's message about their promise.
Worried over Jonny being in the uppercity and the possibility of his death.
More stress hearing some of the Row residents, Wrench, Charles, Maia, etc., talk about Rikket being a snitch to GEB. Afraid about his position in the Row and in GEB (IE not wanting to betray his friends but afraid about GEB overriding his system to force him to do their bidding)
Saw Jimmothy be taken away by thugs to the sewer and promptly had a panic attack, trying to get people to save him.
Ran into the sewer to look for Jimmothy, to be told by wrench to go away.
Learned that Guidebot was in the package and was torn apart by hugbots.
Aftermath of the panic attack trying to make amends for his panic and concern for Jimmothy.
Might have almost cried from being told by Jonny that he is a good bot.

Session 9:

Learned that Jimmothy was ok.
Learned that Jonny was contemplating returning to TraVerse.
Overheard the situation with Jimmothy talking shit to Conk and getting bitchslapped (lol)
Processed fish bought from Bub into Plood bar. Desmond said it was good.
Actively avoided the Jupiter gang.
Heard from Flounder (aka Trident guidebot) that GEB was doing stuff with undead matter.
Investigated rumor about GEB cubes having undead parts. Doc u said it was undead free.
Seems the rumor came from Mey according to Jimmothy.
Learned that Cap died.
Sold food to some Jupiter gang members... hopefully they aren't too bad. (This did not age well)

Session 10

Met some of the new people like CHERRi, Cherry Ryder, and Elwin.
Made new Plood flavors. Crossiant and hotdog flavor, Bread and hotdog flavor, and hotdog flavor.
Cap's funeral. Rest in piece.
Suddenly there was a shootout at the arena. FRED heard about it and heard the ambulance siren.
Heard that the Jupiter gang was up to some trouble in the row.
Found a very high Jimmothy. Funny times.
Was fucking robbed of 1 GEB cube by Jupiter goons. Turns out they were bad. : (
Heard about the shooting at the Dirty Diamond.
Heard about the synth war in the wasteland and the virus going around to synths.
Instated a new store policy. All weapons go to the box near the door or no entry allowed.
Cried himself to sleep (Metaphorically cause synths can't cry... yet). He's one of the last few synths in the row. His taxi friend is gone, the med buddies are gone, and synths are a pariah. : (

Session 11

Due to synths being feared, he stayed in his store for the first half of the session
AL-0 came by to borrow a sponge (first time meeting AL-0). AL-0 offered FRED a free cup of tea.
Told Maia, Marceline, and Jimmothy of the plan to shut down FRED in case he went rogue.
Was with the crowd of people in the row when they learned of the synths being hostile in the wasteland.
When the unease about synths hit them, FRED was in the crowd, everyone turning on him : (
Was saved by Marceline who told them about FRED's plan and by Theris who vouched for FRED being a good guy.
Hid in fear in the store for a while longer
Took some time out of the store and hung out with Marceline, Elwin, and Rylee. Saw a drunk Reyna talking about a toaster.
Was invited to DnD by Marceline. :)
Was accused of possibly going rogue by Reyna in front of Doc U and Dash.
Met up with Al-0 and CHERRi, spending time around the Row with CHERRi
Told Vessa about his plan in case he went rogue.
Saw Rikket get shot in the foot by Wrench cause Rikket was messing with Gloop (RIP Gloop)
Told Desmond about his plan in case he went rogue
While spending time With CHERRi, saw Celeste and Vee come back to the row and later on, Static.
Learned that the missing synths were ok for now and not infected.
CHERRi told FRED that he is allowed in her apartment.
Still wonders where Jonny is at.

Session 12

Went to uppercity to look for Bub and get upgrades.
Got cooking software update.
Learned from Simon that GEB and TraVerse are not on good terms
Learned from TraVerse that Bub is missing
Found Jonny and learned that Bub got factory reset and that TraVerse is lying
Quite row time. Seriously it felt like a ghost town.
Made plood bar using Conk's drug mushroom. It lost it's drug property and just tasted like shrooms.
Suddenly the stray was messing around and was being a little shit.
Hung out with Marceline, Doc U, Celeste, Static, and Alice to do a Dnd. Sadly it did not work out.
Heard that there was a kill order for Synths made by the corps, leading to FRED being extremely stressed.
TraVerse corps came to the store, seems non hostile so far.
In the store, heard gunshots going off. Hid in the store with doors closed, talking to Marceline and Elwin on the radio.
Saw the astral corp in the row. They seemed to ignore synths
Wondered where Jonny was... he was behind me.
Cried himself to sleep again cause synths are still hunted.

Session 13:

Discussed the corp/synth situation with Jimmothy. Seems that it is best to just keep head down.
Saw BUB. RIP man, you were reset.
Learned of the Wyvern's radio and medical radio.
Met up with JIM, shared drinks with him, Celeste, and Static.
Learned of Polka's wedding.
Later on, Polka bought a donut from the store to use as a ring..... ok then.
Gunshots heard, Hid in the store.
Learned that the gunshots were gangsters shooting Valkyrie corps.
- Fear of possible corp raid
Bought a Tea for Marceline from AL-O's shop.
Bummed around the row for a while.
Talked with Cherri Ryder about corps in the Row. Was nice.
Hung out with Doctors waiting for DnD.
- Funny moment about FRED's Charger being in his ass. (lol)
Met up with Marceline in the arena, learned a bit about shooting guns. Might have smacked myself in the face IC.
DnD time.... only to be cut off by a fucking explosion.
- Explosion blasted everyone into the wall. FRED was sent face first into a brick wall, cartoon style
Helped Elwin and Marceline watch over AL-O and Alice in the Motel cause they were knocked out.
Alice left, later on, AL-O woke up.
Learned from Marceline that Desmond and Alex died. : (
Went back to store, escorted by Elwin.
Cried himself to sleep again. Plagued with sadness and stress. : (

Session 14:

Attended Faye's party
Got repairs from Marceline. Needed new optics.
Was approached by Alexander and their assistant about getting them access to the uppercity as they have business with Manyu
Got infected with Titan by Nekobot.
Got detained by Wrench after trying to infect Celeste and Static
Was fixed by Marceline, though at the cost of memories of today.
Awoke in Marceline's store, dazed and confused.
Learned that there was a virus and had to keep a distance from the synths.
Hid in the convenience store for a long while.
Saw Jonny, freaked out and hid in the store.
Eventually left the store to look around the row, feeling uncomfortable and unsafe in the store alone.
Hung around with people in the noodle shop, seeing Wisp's new toy and Wisp trying to shoot Jimmy.
Shenanigans with the Stray and saw it get destroyed.
While hanging with Marceline, learned about some quarantine in the clinic.
Hung out Cherri.

Learned that there was some sort of plague for people via overhearing Dash on a phone call. He was talking really loudly
More or less bummed around the row trying to not get infected.
Sent request to GEB for paint thinner (Marceline wanted to buy some) and a pistol for self defense.
Left some Plood bars at the graves of Desmond, Alex, and Cap
Learned from news that corps won't kos all the synths.
retired to the store, still slightly confused on shit going on.

Session 15

Heard from Coach Eric that Jimmothy was allergic to GEB cubes. Symptoms include coughing blood.
Got pistol from GEB.
Met Bringus' new character.
Asked by Ryder about where Cherri was at. FRED had no idea where Cherri was at.
Sold fidget spinners to Dash.
Remembered I have a security cam.
Wisp purchased propane. NOT LIABLE
Learned a bit more on Titan virus, specifically that there might be remnants of it in synths.
Got a check from Bridgette. All clear of virus and got files organized.
Polka thicc... and being polka.
Bub sells fish again. Got fish.
Sent email to GEB requesting antivirus upgrades.
Gun training with Marceline. She almost shot Maia.
- Suddenly lots of people see I have a pistol.
Met Phyllis
Saw Raleigh in Polka's armor. Is polka the suit or the helmet.... or something else?

Learned of Flounder in the Tea shop cause he ran out of power.
Went to brothel, talked with Vessa about security cam and day being weird.
- Got idea to check cams for what happened yesterday.

Session 16

Heard about the gala, saw some people from the row go to the gala.
Saw diget in the row, tried to say hi to her. Pirate guy was a bitch
Greasepalms was asking if FRED was talking shit. FRED was. she took wrench's sandwich.
Bumming around the row, hearing about the gala, then going back to work
some PTSD with static. they were in their big form, not rage form. Static apologized about yesterday. no hard feelings
Toaster cat shenannigans. Something about having Titan and cat chasing FRED. Cat does not have Titan according to Aryiana (DM)
At the clinic, saw Toolbox needing med supplies. FRED offered to sell him food supplies.
Delivered food supplies to the wasteland clinic, picking up a package for the row clinic from the spider wasteland doctor.
Heard from the doctor that Mculger had died. (spoilers, he isn't dead)
Heard Becky had died (they did die)

Marceline got bat ears.
Conversation with Maia about GEB history in Row.
Then Bo came to pay for orders.
Talked with Jeff (extra). Learned Union hit by GEB Mage lightning few days ago.
Uppercity for upgrades.
Met bosses Rikky, Manyu, Goldman, and Simon.
Learned plan from GEB about warning them of safety in the row before they come down (IE Inform them of the safety in the row)
Yeah the Row ain't safe for Corps.
Upgrade obtained. Learned plans to make FRED carry more food and get GEB colors.
Met Rhapsodia.
Suddenly see the guy in big red armor having Desmond's sword.
Learned the guy is called Rex and he inherited the sword.
Bummed around the Row.
Saw Flounder rub oil on AL-O's ass.
Rikky in town, saw new mascot and had GEBlly Cubular added to his vocabulary.

Learned Jimmothy is going to the wasteland.
Some small talk with Theris.
Catching up with Jonny. Talks about the Clinic ceiling.
Br-16 tries to Immunize FRED from Titan.
But FRED got that GEB Anti-virus
Got Bub to help deliver the stuff to Bo.
Just bumming around for a bit.
Marceline and Doc u go to the wasteland.
Simon, my boss, is in town.
Approval to go to the Undercity.
Saw Cherri at the boat.

Some weird guy, Trident influencer extra, tried to get free shit from the store. Al-O was there.

Ask Vessa about the party. Seems it was the day after the explosion, the day FRED booted up in Marceline's shop.
Talked with an NPC about it. Oh yeah, Titan was a thing and they might have something to do with FRED's memory.
Some time with Jonny in the shop. Asking about the random objects hanging in my shop like the jars and random packs.
In comes Riley. He asks about the mannequins. FRED has no idea.
Some people want to see Rikky. Got no idea where he is at.
Bo has narcolepsy. Saw her sleeping on a bench.
At the tea shop. Asked Marceline about the memory problem. Was told to not worry about it.
Wrench asleep on the side of the tea shop. He almost hit Static from waking up

Talked with Ryder for a bit. Learned that blond union lady was called Diana.

Saw some new faces.
Some small talk with Elwin.
Seems Alo is going to be a dancer at the diamond.
Ran into the row garage mechanics talking about the corps. Ryder I was built by GEB

Heard from Willy and Torok that an elevator shaft fell on Elwin. He seems ok tho.
Manyu asked for Simon. Still got no clue where he is at.

Breakfast rush. In comes Static, Marceline, Theris, and Cherri
FRED realized that he actually has fridges in the store and that he can sell things like groceries, frozen pizzas, and 40 oz beer

Talked to them about Mannequins.
Suddenly Theris comes by with one.

Asked Theris what he knows about the mannequins. He has no clue.
Hung around the Tea shop, talking about mannequins.
There is a new guy at the tea shop, some red cowboy dude called Shawn.
Big Shometsu bots looking for Shiloh.
Told shrooms about mannequins.
Dagu shoots a gun outside of the noodle shop.

Theris comes by to buy food, asked him about Marceline and Wrench.

Got a request from Dash to collect water.
Purified water from the fountain.
Big row meeting about the current situation. Aliens and shit.
Seems that Marceline can only repair a few synths cause she has limited supplies.
Sent water to Docs.
Filtered water from the river for Docs.
Searched around for the Wyverns with the Wyvern NPC and Jimmothy
- We searched by the Grindstone, DD, and Wyverns HQ. No luck.
Searched through the Wyverns HQ for med supplies. Only ammo.
Talk with Raeligh and Vessa.
Dropped off food supplies to the clinic and a Valkyrie pistol.
Went to wasteland and found Jyggal.
Had to crawl into the store.... fysh's character is weird.
Served food and pancakes.
purified 2.5 vats of water for Jyggal.
Raiders at the gate?
Seems there wasn't much going on at the gate.
Was gonna get repairs from wasteland mechanics but it seems that they need all their supplies.
Oh hey Bo is there. She got a lizard friend.
Back to the row to charge.
Seems some Trident people broke into Duncyn's shop.
Trident walked by my shop. Wyvern npc, Elwin, and Marceline confronted them.
Oh hey, suddenly corpos. They went to the Grindstone.

Session 27

got repaired by theris and marceline
Saw Jimmothy have another panic attack

sent request to GEB for store resupply as much of the store's supplies were gone.
Talk to Jonny and Dagu about purifying water.
Asked the Shometsu looking people aka pirates, what they were doing in the row
- they said they were not Shometsu. But they sure as hell look like them and got Shometsu logo on their armor.

alien infiltrator came to store, they got shot. that scared the shit outta FRED
Talked with Bertram and Vessa at the diner. Bertram's hat is nice.
went with Bertram to the gun shop. it was closed.

got some alien countermeasure file from Bertram and he scanned my gear for any alien corruption. None found.

helped Faye scan alien pistol, came out unscathed. Faye owes FRED a Faye-vor ahhhh.... (she owes FRED a shotgun)

got scrap shotgun from Faye
BUB got a new hat. nice.

helped guard around the grindstone

Season Finale for FRED, EP 28

- Started in the grindstone

- helped scan people at the grindstone entrance

- saw people go insane from alien influence

- during the first wave in the grindstone, got shot in the leg, then in the chest.

- repaired by theris to full health

- Got a Shometsu pistol

- shot in the left arm, Theris tried to fix it but aliens came

- shot in the head, lost Shometsu pistol.

- laid on floor in the back of the grindstone, whimpering in pain

- got stabalized by marceline and Theris

- stayed in the hanger area.

- got Valkyrie pistol from Elwin, traded it for a smg from Smiles

- became friends with Smiles

- Alien panic.

- At some point lost scrap shotgun

- saw Cain die right in front of him. Internally cried.

- first alien wave in hanger, survived

- heard all the explosives go off

- second alien wave, got shot 4 times in head and chest area. survived with a roll of 5

- got fixed by Marceline and Blayne.

- internally i am alive, externally, Body is fucked.

- saw that Smiles died. Mourned his death.

- just happy that we lived

FRED Season 2 Epilogue

- got repaired by Marceline to be able to walk. Still looks like a cheese grater

- rikky and manyu in the row? Guess they are on a pub crawl.

- learned from Dash that Jonny died.

- laid down in the tea shop depressed that Jonny died

- looked for Dagu and/or Ryder desperately.

- found them and learned that Jonny was indeed dead

Session 1

FRED Episode 1:

Store opens in the new season and living in the new chasis.

Able to meet some of the new row people and see the new owners of shops

Later on, learned of Cleo's wedding in the undercity.

Got fish from Bub. + 1 fish in the freezer for cooking later.

Met up with Jyggal in the noodle shop. Talked about possible collab with the wasteland restaurant.

Went to the undercity to go fishing. all fish caught went back to bub.

saw the opening of the knowledge district celebration

learned that the wedding would be in the grove and that synths do not do well in the grove.

FRED Episode 2

Daily breakfast rush
Had a talk with jeremy about working for GEB
Got washed up at the noodle shop
Went to the wasteland
made food at Jyggal's shop. We made cheesecake and I left Jygall some cheese, butter, and flour
Purified water for the wasteland clinic
Check up and repair by Marceline
Hung out with Jeremy at the Diamond
Skiz's character vaccumed FRED for a woto cube.
Huge food order from Iineo's character
Put in order for Churros for Rivet and a chair for Jeremy.

FRED Episode 3

Had the morning rush
Sold the chair to Jeremy
Sasayaki was a dick to FRED.
Sold the churros to Rivit, along with a chair and sponge
Seems like GEB bills came to FRED
Got it evaluated by Jimmothy then sent the bills to GEB
QW1NN stole a 300 credit candy bar from the store
Learned of the wasteland Dance Battle
Had a great talk with Bat about what it means to live as a GEB owned Synth. Life is ok. Corps leave FRED alone.
Trident came in and forced the row on lockdown
Sold boxes of food to Hans
Got a check up by Kyper
Saw the dance battle in the wasteland
Back in the row, conversed with Voxine about life.
Retired to the store

FRED Episode 4

Daily breakfast rush and the joys of sitting in a chair (first time in full body)
Chased QW1NN with a chair. Got my money.
Learned that some slummers were recruiting for bands. FRED was not interested
Mostly did store RP
Left to the undercity and caught a 3 headed turtle.
- BUB had me release the turtle

Met up with Tully. Mostly small talk.
They wanted to find Wisp but Conk told FRED to avoid Wisp as they were currently hostile to synths.
Back in the row, FRED had a talk with Bat and Ryder about Cornelius. It was about the wasteland arena fight
Retired to the store

FRED Episode 5

Starting off, sold some stuff.
Then robbers came and tried to rob FRED
FRED kills the robbers.
Got the bullet graze repaired
GEB got a report from FRED about the robbers.
Met Jyggal at the noodle shop
- Seems Jyggal needs a second job cause a giant hamster ate half the wasteland cafe's stock

Encore came to the store and almost caused a violent scene.
He asked FRED about Alex and Desmond.
- FRED was told that it was ok to tell Encore what he knew, ie the explosion last season but FRED did not know who caused it.

Later on, had a conversation with Willie about corpos and the row. Mainly Willie not wanting to live in the row cause of all the corpos.
FRED discussed with Jyggal selling bulk food for cheap to them.
FRED assisted a nirvana agent to find the Row medics as they had a delivery. It was Jimmothy's hugbot.
Heard from Dash that Doc Pulse is missing
Showed Dash the security footage
Had a conversation with Bat about the robbery.
GEB Corp in the row, Sarah and E1R.
- Gave them the details on the robbery.
- They told FRED to keep eyes out for Traverse, Avalon, and Shometsu activity in the Row.

Retired to the store.

FRED Episode 6

Shop RP, selling booze, food, and that chair to the burrito stand guy, Sevens.
Some lady in a white coat was looking for Marceline and FRED Informed Marceline about them
- Marceline already knew tho.

Got the daily check up by Bat.

There was a gang war outside of the store.
- FRED more or less waited around his store, not wanting to get shot.

FRED took part in the scrap run.
There was gunshots coming from the scrap drop off point and the employer was involved, along with Wyverns and some slummers.
- It seemed to be some sort of hit and FRED stayed out of that.

Eventually FRED got paid the 50K
- He used that money to buy a shotgun
There a giant roach around the row
GEB corps back in the row. They were talking with other corpos.
Later, FRED sat with Ryder and talked about the mayor election coming.
FRED mostly just hung around the Row. Had some small talk with row residents and some of the corps in the row. Nothing really plot relevant, just killing time.
FRED retires to the shop.

Major -GEB brand Mark 1 Food Processor - Able to take food scraps and food ingredients, cooking and processing them into food bars by extracting the nutrients and discarding the inedible parts. The food bars are edible and can give people who eat them energy. Just don’t think too much about how they're made.
Minor - GEB Brand Mark 1 Water purifier: Allows him to purify a liter of water in about 20 minutes. Also allows him to store the water.
Minor - Water proof - Not damaged by water. (pretty self explanitory)
Racial - Metal body - Resistant to mundane damage. (Natural armor)

Flaws[]

Major- Daily Maintenence - Due to FRED’s upgrades being retrofitted on, they arent excactly made for him, meaning he is prone to short circuit if he does not get a diagnostics check every day. If it goes unchecked permanent damage may occur. (Must be checked out in the beginning of the episode.)
Minor - Daily cleaning: Due to the extensive amount of organic material put inside FRED, he requires constant cleaning to ensure the energy bars he produces are safe to eat and to prevent any internal jamming if FRED remains too unclean. No need for anyone skilled, just need an extra set of hands to wipe him down
Minor - Poor energy efficiency - Has to recharge every 1 and a half hours (twice a day) to remain functional.
Racial - Retrofitted Circuitry - Weak to shock damage.
