History[]
Fallbrook was founded in the years after the Vampire Wars by Edwin and Dorothy Kane. As former Hunters, they had witnessed the cruelty of the Vampires, the Werewolves, and the Humans alike, and they sought to change this and bring the three races together. It all began with a simple wooden Inn on the road, but over time that Inn grew in size, and as it did a town grew around it.
Despite their efforts, the three groups often self segregated into their own unofficial districts, though tensions have historically been lower than you might expect. This all changed for the worse in recent years however. The first successor of the Kades, their eldest son, was turned by a vampire. A great debate began, with the son arguing he would be able to rule impartially without fear of future generations muddying their goals, but the Humans and Werewolves disagreed. As matters heated up, the middle successor was bitten and turned to a Werewolf, throwing water on the grease fire. Now only the youngest successor remains as human, and he has little true support even amongst the humans, only being favored because he is still human.
Locations[]
Human District[]
The Human District composes the core of the city of Fallbrook. This district includes the Grand Hall, the Guard Keep, the Hunter's Lodge, the Kane Inn, and a large number of residential buildings. The heart of the district, and the heart of the city, is the Market. The Market is host to a large selection of shops. A few of the noteworthy ones are listed below.
The Huntsman's Headstone[]
This shop stocks a wide variety of weapons and equipment, specifically intended for use by Hunters and Adventurers. Swords, polearms, armor, bows and crossbows, and even mana rifles are kept in supply in this store. The store also features several decorative trophies, including a massive Demon Skull, several replicas of Goblin bounties that the shop owner has claimed, and a giant gem carving of a monsterous Elephant.
Wicked Wish[]
The Wicked Wish is a witch-themed shop, selling candles, incense, chalk, skulls, cauldrons, and other witchy memorabilia. On the surface, it appears very much like a trinkets and souvenir shop, however according to the locals one of the employees is allegedly a real witch. However, if this is true, nobody knows which is the witch.
The Crooked Nook[]
The Crooked Nook is a medium sized book store, carrying easily two hundred different tomes. Little is known about this store currently, however whoever runs it must be very wealthy, as the price of even basic books is extremely high due to printing presses having not been invented yet.
50 Shades of Fey[]
50 Shades of Fey is an alchemical shop near the front of the Market, very close to the city gates. This store stocks a large selection of potions and alchemical ingredients, including a Giant's Strength Potion. The store also allegedly stocks various tinctures and tonics of dubious quality, with one sign alleging to hold the cure to 'impotence' in a Yuan-ti oil mixture.
The Bloody Baron[]
The Bloody Baron is the local butchers shop, carrying various salted, smoked, and even raw meats that can be purchased in bulk. The shop also prepares meat pies hot and ready for dining on the go. Little is known about this shop as it was closed the first day of arrival.
Lycan District[]

Main Square
The Lycan District, also known as the Werewolf district, is where most of the werewolves in Fallbrook take residence. Compared to the rest of Fallbrook, this place is overgrown with trees and other plants. It is much more common here to see the roads being simply dirt paths rather than the cobblestone streets of the human or vampire areas.

Werewolf District Entrance
Werewolves here are free to shift between their various forms at will, without the judgement and fear that humans and vampires would normally show to such an act. It is also not uncommon for the citizens to scale buildings, run on all fours, and generally act more animalistic.
Despite this, human visitors are generally welcome to come and go as they please. Vampires are free to enter as well, but werewolves in general are wary around vampires, so they should expect a much less polite welcome.
Vampire District[]

Entrance Checkpoint
The first founded and oldest section of Fallbrook is known as the Vampire District. It is here that most of the town's vampire take residence. Unlike all other parts of Fallbrook, the Vampire District is underground. This is due to vampires being much more comfortable in areas without sunlight. It is also the largest district by size, being located in a massive cave. Conversely, it is also the least populated, giving non-vampire visitors uneasy feelings when traversing the district.

Main village square
In the middle of the district is a gigantic crystal. This crystal gives off a ambient light, allowing the residents to see at all times of the day. This is amplified by the large lake located nearby, reflecting the light of the crystal and giving it a eerie glow. The style of buildings is dark bricks and mortars, with red windows in every building. On nearly every roof are gargoyles, most of which are merely decorations, with a few animated gargoyles mixed in to insure the safety of the vampire citizens.

Cavernous Lake

Godfrey's Manor
Unlike most other parts of Fallbrook, travel into the vampire district is strictly controlled. No werewolves are ever allowed to enter, unless given express permission by a high-ranking vampire noble. Humans are also generally not allowed unless accompanied by a vampire to ensure their safety. Although feeding on a human without their consent is illegal, humans have been known to disappear in the vampire district when they enter alone.
At the end of the cavern lies Godfrey's manor. It is the most lavish building in Fallbrook, being three stories tall and adorned with red stained-glass windows, gargoyles at every roof corner, and hardened black stone walls. The inside is even more lavish, with every room full of paintings, bottles of blood-wine, elegant and expensive books, and filigree gold chandeliers.
Red Light District[]

Ascension visiting the brothel
The epitome of this, the seediest of seedy underbellies, is the famous Red Light District. It is said more knife fights are started over games of dice than there are games of dice to start. Originally this corner of town housed a series of warehouses. As the town grew, demand for short term lodging for ship crews and merchant caravans did as well. One of these warehouses was purchased and converted into a large lodging house. The Hospitality Entertainment Lodges or HELs. The Red Light District grew from this lodge turned brothel, and these days the entire set of streets is just known as “The HELs”.
It is said just about any service you could want can be found here, for a price. And almost any substance too, legal or otherwise. It is also said that if you choose unwisely which escort you spend your coin on, you’re likely to find you remember only half the night and wake with only half your blood. Siphoners are humans that make their coin draining the unwary and selling their blood on the black market.
Fishing Village[]

Just outside the gates of Fallbrook, there is a small fishing hamlet that exports fishes to Fallbrook for consumption by humans and werewolves alike. Although the dangers of living outside the city gates makes living in the fishing village more dangerous, the profit margin for fishermen is more than worth the risk.
Trivia[]
- There is rumored to be a large tomb underneath the sewers of Fallbrook
