Edward 'Eddy' Rivers is a genetic hybrid currently working under Astral as a liaison to the major corporations. Coming from a Valkyrie family he had military doctrine drilled into him from a young age but grew to think that the tenets were too rigid to allow growth in the field of combat. Still wanting to make his parents proud on the field of battle but not under Valkyrie, once he was old enough he shipped himself off to any advanced tactical training he could find that would take him, ending up finding himself in a boot camp for Astral recruits.
