David Walker is the head of the AVALON Corporation on planet Hellion. He owes everything to Avalon and will stop at nothing to ensure its safety and dominance.
David keeps his friends close, and his rivals closer. When it comes to threats and insults to his corporation, emotion will often cloud his judgement. He has no time for anyone outside the Upper City.[1]

Origin[]
David had a sheltered upbringing in the middle city, and has no experience with people from the Row and beyond. Due to his inexperience he sees them as "lesser" than the rest of the inhabitants of Salvation City.
Before becoming an Upper City guard, David worked as a security guard in a Middle City clinic. After dealing with a robbery gone wrong, he was offered a position as a guard in the Upper City.
Experimented on by an Avalon scientist, he has some feline genetics mixed in with his human DNA. He can hear better and run quicker than most humans, but he has also picked up a few cat-like quirks.

At the end of his first day as a guard in the upper city, David was genetically enhanced by Dr Alice Constantine. His DNA is augmented with feline DNA, giving him enhanced speed, reflexes, and hearing, thanks to an extra set of ears.
As Avalon was lacking a head of security, David was promoted to fill the position due to his experience and clear devotion to the Avalon corporation. He joins the Avalon staff alongside Ama Krolia, Dr Emilia Röntgen and Sallie Lune.
David's experience as a combat medic leads to him being hired to assist with various missions, such as an expedition to The Golden Lance.
Invasion[]
As evidence of an impending alien invasion mounts, David prepares for the worst. He works together with Sallie to create "Icarus", a powerful (and expensive) combat stimulant, available to only the richest corporation soldiers.
When the enemy finally invades, David joins the other corporation soldiers in defence of their home. He is critically wounded in the battle, and loses his arm. Before the day is through, his friend Emilia is infected by an alien virus. She is hunted down by a MASARU hit squad on orders from President Goldman. She is executed in front of David.
While Avalon mourn the loss of their friend, more invaders arrive. While some head into orbit to destroy the aliens' leaders, David joins forces with a few other corps to defend the Uppercity. Along with Kraver Carabass, Conrad Ludovic and ENCORE, they hold the line until the all-clear is called, and the city is saved.
Season 3[]
Intrigue[]
David is promoted to planetary head of Avalon. This is partly for his part in defence of the Uppercity, but primarily due lack of experienced leadership on-planet. He decides to make a push for Avalon to further corner the medical market in the city.
Tensions rise after a string of high-profile mistakes and personal disputes between Avalon and Shometsu. This culminates with the assassination of Sallie's partner, Thomas Reed. David has had enough, and transfers Avalon's security contracts to Valkyrie, setting the groundwork for a productive alliance.
Conrad and the Volcano[]
David's friend, Conrad Ludovic, approaches David with a proposal. Conrad wants to return some equality to the city, by allowing them to exploit some of the planet's unique natural resource: Volonium. Conrad plans to steal some of Valkyrie's Volonium research, and make it public, driving competition between not only the corporations but also the citizens. David agrees, not out of altruism, but because Avalon also stands to gain from the research.
However, in secret, David contacts his new allies at Valkyrie. David has no interest in helping the citizens of the city in this way, believing that safety can only be build through control. During the run David contacts Valkyrie and informs them that the mission is taking place. On the way out, David reveals his betrayal, and Valkyrie ambush the group. Conrad is captured, and executed some days later.
Unbeknownst to the rest of the city, David revives Conrad using Lazarus. Some time before, Conrad had made a request, that if he died, David would revive him, and let him live out his life as a regular citizen, never to be seen again. David lets his old friend go with a warning: If he ever sees Conrad again, he will hunt down both him and everyone he cares for.
