VRChat Legends Wiki
VRChat Legends Wiki
Sections below contains non-canon lore about other players or groups by someone who is not apart of their RP. As such it should be considered fan fiction. Also see: wiki guidelines.

Description

Fan fiction articles should be labelled with the Category:Fan Fiction and contain a Template:FanFiction notice placed at the top of the page.

What classifies as fan-fiction?

Articles written by wiki authors that may not be 'canon' lore. (Or is not considered canon yet). Canon lore belongs in the respective RP groups articles or the article of that character.

  • The author of 'canon lore' is the content creator or roleplayer who portrays the character or constructs the roleplaying world and setting. NOT wiki writers.
    • The RP-groups and roleplayers themselves are in charge of deciding what is 'canon'.
    • Sometimes stories or story arcs diverge or get confusing, in that case it might make more sense to describe it from an out-of-character or a viewers perspective.
    • Respect that the different roleplaying groups have their own lore set in their own separate small universes.
  • Writing a background story about your own character is fine, but if you involve characters portrayed by other people into that story you need to get their confirmation.
  • Writing an article for your own character can be a conflict of interest. Be mindful. The VRChat Legends wiki is a wiki. Not a personal blog or a website. We collaborate and document lore together.
  • Writing things that are untrue out-of-character, clarify it as fan-fiction and tag it properly.
  • If you find fan-fiction or theories inside 'canon' articles they should be moved out into separate articles or clearly clarified within the article.
  • If you find articles linking to fan-fiction also make sure that it's obvious in the main article!
  • If a wiki author who is not part of the roleplay or in charge of it writes and invents new lore it should also be marked with the fan-fiction notice.

Having contradicting lore between different RP groups is perfectly fine, as authors we do not need to attempt to unify lore that do not make sense. Try to document lore from the perspective of the subject of the respective article.
