Name[]
The name ‘Beepubun’ is a reference to the little flying pet called Beepu. The name comes from a soundbit where rose (the giggly main character) was recording random cute noises. Beepubeepu stuck and became a meme on her regular art streams on Twitch.
Honeybuns[]
Come to life as rose’s Twitch mascot in 2017, honeybuns are "50% bun, 50% bee, 100% sweet."[1] There are many honeybuns, but the particular pet following rose in VR Chat is called Beepu.
On October 30, 2017, a Honeybun Builder was released, a free to play dress-up game.[2] The twitter tag #HBBuilder was created to keep track of the birth of all the customized honeybuns from the game.[3][4] In 2018, the honeybuns were announced to be related to a family of creatures called Treatures, with species like pandacake, strawbeary and cinnabunny.[5]
Honeybuns like to raid farms for bunnycomb, the honeybun currency.
