Auzera is the continent where Fractured Thrones RP is set. The world is currently in the Fourth Era, recently brought on by the decline of the Elves.

The World of Auzera[]

Auzera is the largest continent known to all living things. It comprises many types of biomes that support many different types of life. Some of these beings have been around since the beginning of time - some are like flames in the wind, there and gone in the blink of an eye. There are fields of the greenest grass, and ancient forests. High mountains, and deep caverns. It is a world of many mysteries, and even more forgotten secrets.

Auzera is teeming with life from all corners of its existence, home to Elves, Dwarves, Orcs, and Man alike. Mythical beasts roam the darkest parts of the world, and many spin tales of heroes of the past, and prophecies to come. It has seen its fair share of war, and struggles, some of which is forgotten, and some of which could never be forgotten by those who are longer lived.

Kingdoms of Auzera[]

There are eight known Kingdoms of Auzera.

Races of Auzera[]

Humans[]

Humans are tenacious. They live short lives, most of which are under 100 years old. They excel very rarely at a singular thing, and usually are multi classed as a jack of all trades. They are very common, and can be found all over Auzera.

They are mostly under 6 foot tall, are of above average strength, average speed, average constitution, and average intelligence. Their minds and hearts are more easily swayed than most, and darkness finds it easier to take hold.

High Elves[]

High Elves are the most graceful of all races in Auzera. They live long lives, spanning thousands of years, (3 to 4 thousand years) and are incredibly talented with bows and shortswords. Many years fighting predators in the woodlands, and orcs, have made these people fast on their feet. They are somewhat uncommon, and rarely venture outside of their Kingdom.

Most are under or at 6 feet tall, are of average strength, fast speed, below average constitution, and above average intelligence. They have long since fought things of the dark and are nigh incorruptible by such powers, but even their hearts can be found to hate.

(This race is hated by Drow and Wood Elves)

Wood Elves[]

Wood elves are an ancient race well versed in nature, and with the existence of Dryads. While the High Elves hold Dryads in high regard, it is somewhat fallen in time. Not so with the wood elves. They are a tribal, far more nature-bound race, who view Dryads as a near deity. They are all knowledgeable when it comes to herbs and a simple alchemy, often serving as assistants or protectors to Dryads. Most tribes are formed around a single Dryad, but most have none in the present Era. most wood elves are 6 feet tall, are below average strength, above average speed, above average constitution, and average intelligence. They have long since fought things of the dark to protect their wood and are nigh incorruptible by such powers, but even they look down upon shorter lived races.

(This race is hated by Beornings and High Elves)

Drow[]

Drow are an elusive race that live in subterranean cities and settlements. They keep their distance from the surface world, and are rarely found or communicated with. They live long lives, same as their surface kin, and are trained thoroughly with spears and daggers, relying on speed and reach. They are very uncommon, and rarely sighted.

Most are 5 feet tall, are of above average strength, above average speed, average constitution, and above average intelligence. They have secluded themselves for so long that they think of little other than their own desires, and evil can find purchase within their hearts.

(This race is hated by Elves)

Dwarves[]

Dwarves are the most durable of all Auzera. They live long lives, spanning hundreds of years, (600 to 800 years) and excel with heavy armor and two-handed weapons. Long years of combating things that lurk in the dark of their mountains have made them towers of constitution.

Most are around 4 and a half feet tall, are of above average strength, slow speed, high constitution, and average intelligence. They have survived the darkness of their own creation and other fell things for a long time, but they are greedy by nature. Their hearts can be tormented for riches.

(This race hates Beornings)

Duregar[]

Duergar are a race of forgotten, outcast Dwarves from long ago that have lived in the Underdark since before time itself can be remembered. They were once thrown out of their clans and holds, sent below to die - but die they did not. Over time, these outcasts found one another deep within the stone, and formed clans, clans that vowed to build strength and one day return to the surface and reclaim Vurnfalduhr as their own. Their animosity and hate for the surface is unrivaled, and the only time they venture to the surface is to further their own goals, or the idea of wanting to exact revenge on their enemy too much. Most are around 4 and a half feet tall, are of above average strength, slow speed, high constitution, and average intelligence. They only care for themselves, for power, and for revenge. Their heart is long consumed from such.

(This race is hated by Dwarves)

Hobbits[]

Hobbits are kindly, small humanoids who value a good meal, pipeweed, and another good meal. They live short lives as well, sometimes reaching 100 years of age. They rarely find themselves in any kind of fight or war, and not many know how to wield a weapon. Those who DO have weapons, are swords the lengths of daggers, or quarter staffs. Living easily and among other races who are far more aggressive have made them incredibly adept and sneaking around.

Most hobbits are 3 and a half to four feet tall, are of Low strength, above average speed, low constitution, and above average intelligence. Their skills excel best when it comes to remaining unnoticed, or getting into places they don't belong.

(This race lives scattered among the other kingdoms, with none of their own.)

Beornings[]

Beornings are an old, endangered race of remaining Northmen. Their life-spans are unknown. While they are reclusive, and truly a rare sight, seeking only to protect their home, tribe, and land, they are also incredibly dangerous. They favor axes and round shields, often wearing furs, and are able to take the form of a bear in times of extreme duress at great cost. Defending their northern homes from creatures of the frozen wastes have made them a hardy folk.

Most Beornings are around 6 feet tall, are High in strength, below average speed, above average constitution, and average intelligence. They concern themselves only with maintaining a quiet, safe life and home, and evil can rarely take hold of their hearts.

(This race hates Dwarves)

Tritons[]

These peoples are relatively new to Auzera - outside of Gradia, of course. Tritons are humanoid folk with a blueish skin and yellowish eyes who speak Aquillian and Common, and live up to around 150 years - but are amphibious and lithe. They are able to see clearly underwater, no matter the depth, and breathe underwater as well. Tritons tend to remain neutral in land-dweller affairs - as their settlements are deep underwater, close to Auzera's shores. That being the case, they often need to wear hoods to protect them from the sun, and frequently need water to survive.

Due to the dangers the creatures they face in the depths, they often consider themselves to be protectors of useless land-folk, and as a result are quite haughty, and believe to be owed respect from other races. The sailors of Gradia often pay them homage, bringing tribute with them when they sail, that they toss into the ocean upon departure and return. They are mostly under 6 feet tall, are above average strength, above average speed, average constitution, and average intelligence. They can be swayed by darkness when their pride is challenged, or threatened.

(This race abhors Warforged)

Dryads[]

Dryads are very rare, all female beings born of the forest. They are incredibly rare, and as such, many go their lives without ever seeing one. They are usually kind and quiet creatures, with skin like soft wood, hair like foliage and moss, that turn color with the seasons. They have mostly only ever been seen to fight with a spear, at distance. Life in the forest has made them close to nature, and its kin.

Most Dryads are 5 feet tall, are below average strength, average speed, above average constitution, and average intelligence.

Dryads are bound to a single tree, living as long as it, their lives spent defending it, and the forest around it. More often than not, Dryads never left their homes or bound trees. If they did, they would get sick, and die. There are rare cases, however, that a dryad may receive an acorn from their bound tree. This gift allowed them to travel far and wide, without ever having to worry about sickness or death from separation. The only real concern then was their tree being destroyed while they were away. If their tree dies, so do they. If their acorn is destroyed, they will begin to die, if they are too far. Their hearts can never be touched by darkness unless powerful magics are used.

(This race is REVERED by the elves)

WarForged[]

The Warforged are creations of the First Era. They are constructs that are long forgotten, very rarely seen, and even more so, rarely observed. No known lifespan. They originate from Moro-Gorath, though none know why, or how. They are made of metal, and wood, and run on a powerful, condensed source of mana. They are incredibly hard to repair, often needing a specialist of sorts, and even rarer to find someone of that skill.

These constructs are incredible, and very durable, usually being used for dangerous labor, or guarding a person of importance. They don't really have a specific weapon, or style. The sizes vary, but never over 6 feet. They are of high strength, below average speed, high constitution, and below average intelligence.

All WarForged have a general purpose that drives them, something that gives them a reason to operate. They do not eat, drink, or sleep, but they do require to be on a ‘standby’ mode for a few hours a night to be considered operable. These constructs are able to carry out conversation, and reflect emotion, depending on how they were programmed. They have no hearts, and cannot be swung either way.

Half-Breeds[]

All races other than Orcs and WarForged can often find themselves in throws of romance. Sometimes they overcome the barriers of their peoples, and act on their love and desires. Rarely, such things can lead to offspring that have an odd mix-match of traits, with the weaker race being the dominant side and abilities. No matter where they go, even in parts of Gradia, half-breeds will be considered with contempt or disgust. Elves, Dwarves, and Man alike will look down upon you, and affect your interactions.

(This race is disliked by all)

Orcs[]

Orcs are aggressive, and some of the strongest humanoids in Auzera. They live short lives, as they are unnatural, and multiply in the dark in ways unknown. They use weapons they scrounge, or steal, but favor heavier weapons. Living in the badlands of Agmurdrod relies on a constant fight of survival. Only the strongest Orcs survive, and this has ensured that the surviving Orcs are incredibly strong.

Most are varied in height, the tallest being from 6 to 7 feet tall, are of High strength, above average speed, above average constitution, and low intelligence. They embrace the dark of most mortals' hearts, and often act on evil desire.

(This is a non-playable race)
