Agmurdrod is an arid badland. There is little vegetation, many caves, and even more...orcs. These lands have always been hostile for as far as anyone can remember, a place where evil things lie in wait, looking to prey upon the other races of the world.
History[]
Throughout all the Eras, these orcs have been a constant threat, unending, unslowing, uncaring. They prey upon whomst ever they can, very well known to the people of Gradia.
But now, the Orcs as a whole seem to have turned their eyes east - the mountains of the Kingdom of dwarves. Large hordes from all tribes are seen streaming into the old caves and abandoned gateways, waging an underground war against their counterparts. This is confusing to the rest of the known world, because Orcs are rarely ever organized, least of all able to wage a war.
However, it is all because an old, massive orc has shown his face.
WarChief Brazok[]
Only one tribe seems to have any semblance of rule, or leadership. It is a name well known by the dwarves of Vurnfaldhur - WarChief Brazok. A hulking Orc, known for his size and strength, and infamously killing one of the old dwarf clans off to the last sons in the second Era, before the rise of High King Hammerbane.
Warchief Brazok, known as Dwarfbane to some older clans, has managed to unite the tribes of Agmurdrod and turn them into the largest army Auzera has ever seen. This has become a massive threat to the bickering nations of the world, and it shows no signs of slowing down.
In the current Era, the WarChief has begun a massive invasion of Vurnfalduhr, swiftly conquering the outer provinces of the dwarven kingdom. The swift response of the High King has slowed the invasion, turning trailblazing into siege, after siege, after siege. The orcs are not slowed by much, however.
They look now to Vurnfalduhr and Gradia, with large swaths heading into the ruined kingdom of Moro-Gorath. None know why, but knowing these brazen orcs, nothing good can come of it.
The Orcs of Agmurdrod[]
The orcs here are strong. They live in many different tribes, and have always launched forays into the rest of Auzera, looking for man, elf, or dwarf-flesh, and shiny things for themselves. They especially love making a snack of hobbits.
They don't care for politics, or diplomacy, only their next meal, and hunting prey. No one quite knows where the orcs come from, or why they only live so close to Moro-Gorath. It has been a mystery as old as the ruined kingdom itself. It is said that the elves know, but if there is any information to be gleaned from Eshma Thalas, they are unwilling to give it.
Geography[]
Agmurdrod is a barren expanse. There is very little greenery here, and most of it is arid savannah, or claybaked ground. But it is not empty. It is far from abandoned. These lands are teeming with orcs, goblins, and trolls of all different shapes and sizes.
Agmurdrod is littered with many orc hovels and forts, mostly made of petrified wood and stone. Very little is found here in the way of shelter, and if one did not know how to avoid the orc hordes of this land, they would surely be found and succumb to the many hungry orc or troll kind in this horrible place.
Military[]
The time they have spent in the badlands have allowed them to tame and capture beasts of war, such as trolls, and other unsightly creatures. They are utilized as weapons, furthering the ability and strength of the orcish hordes.
