The Abyssal Poilice Division (APD) is a Hoppou raiding community created in 2021 by Blazecreek, originally under the name "Hoppou Foundation Poilice Department" it was based on ideas and avatars created by Nekosan and is one of the sister communities to the Hoppou Foundation. It specialises in police role-play raids and content creation, mainly on VRChat.
Content Creation[]
Content creation is a large part of the APD. Many of the worlds and avatars used for and outside of events were created or edited by APD members. Any member of any rank is able to create their own avatar to use during events, with the main guidelines being that it must have a Hoppou head and include the basic police equipment needed for a patrol (gun, shield, handcuffs, and flashlight).
Nekosan created the mascot and original avatars used by the APD using his Kitty-San Hoppou base.
Roleplay and Events[]
The APD is focused on casual police roleplay within VRChat. Members frequently meet several times a week for both scheduled and unscheduled raids, referred to as "poitrols." Additionally, the APD organizes community events, known as "morale events," which occur both within and outside of VRChat and are not centered around roleplay.
The APD uses a rank system based on attendance, initiative, and general agreement among staff and the community. The lowest ranks are only able to attend events, while officers have more authority in organizing off-schedule events. Lieutenants and higher ranks are eligible to lead main events, both "poitrols" and "morale events." However, leaders of morale events are given their own specific roles.

There are different levels of roleplay within the APD. The most basic level is the standard "poitrol" event, while department roleplay represents a more advanced level. Members of a department are expected to act within their assigned roles and avoid deviating from them, although flexibility is allowed in less serious situations.

Mages[]
Members gifted with the ability to perform magic. They observe, document, and study all magical phenomena encountered by the APD during operations. This data is used to develop magical systems and artefacts beneficial to the APD.
Engineers[]
Tech specialists who observe, document, and study all technology and mechanical devices encountered during APD operations. They leverage this knowledge to develop new technologies and machinery for the APD, as well as to repair, upgrade, and enhance the efficiency of existing technology and machinery.
Medics[]
Specialists who focus on biological abnormalities, diseases, and cybernetic augmentations encountered during APD operations. They conduct research to create new methods of biological augmentation, DNA editing, and the surgical installation of cybernetics developed by the APD’s Engineers.
Detectives[]
Crime scene specialists skilled in using forensic technology and classic deduction methods to identify culprits involved in criminal activities encountered by the APD during operations.
Enforcer[]
The super soldiers of the APD, characterized by their larger size, higher aggression, and militaristic attitudes. These heavy units are equipped with the latest in APD’s experimental technology, weapons, biological/mechanical augmentations, and metaphysical systems.

APD-LPD encounters[]
The APD has a long history of interacting with the Local Police Department. In the early days when it was called HFPD, the poilice officers on a few occasions invaded and took over the LPD precinct and even arrested some of the LPD members.
The LPD and APD had a few dance battles together, the first resulting in the APD being deemed the winner. The current score as of 2023 is APD 2-1 LPD.
Projeckt booth[]
During the 2024 Projekt: Community event, the APD had a booth set up for it. The officers wound up causing a lot of chaos by trying to arrest people and a few pranking other police communities by taking their signs or other items. At one point, the hoppou's took over the LPD booth to use their signs and mugshot board to arrest troublemakers.
VRCon JFK[]
During the 2021 VRCon, the APD found and protected someone in a JFK avatar, following them around and protecting them.

- In late 2021/early 2022, the name was changed from HFPD (Hoppou Foundation Police Department) to APD (Abyssal Police Division).
